What a little hidden gem! So happy we have found this place, hands down the best roast dinner we have ever had. We immediately felt welcome as soon as we walked in, this place is owned by such lovely down to earth people who were super accommodating and friendly. I think it’s safe to say we will be back very soon - 10/10 !!!
Delicious roast and a good homemade vegan option available too, so everyone in our party was happy. Really great service and very dog friendly too.
A quirky pub and restaurant hidden away behind and near the top of Black Boy Hill. Often very busy with a noisy, buzzy atmosphere. It's really quite nice and good for Sunday lunch. Best to book in advance.
An excellent example of a GREAT family run pub.
Tucked away from the bustle of the traffic in Highland Square, the Coach & Horses has a great pub atmosphere whilst still being clean and having class.
Taps are clean, drinks are fresh and fair priced for Bristol. Food is excellent.
Other great things include:

- Freshly home baked pastries.
- Regular events almost every night of the week.
- Games to play.
On top of that the Coach & Horses have a history of supporting local football teams and communities and is known by a lot in the area as a great ‘proper’ pub.
We make a 40 mile round trip for the coach and horses Sunday roast!
You will not be disappointed. The pork belly is to die for. Crispy skin on the pork which is seasoned to perfection. Amazing homemade Yorkshire pudding and a great selection of fresh vegetables.
The staff are super friendly and helpful definitely worth a visit.
Scotch egg and Korean chicken were exceptional. Pork belly, Fish and chips best we've had in a while.
Unfortunately the price of the Biscoff rocky Road at £9.00 for 2 squares to take away were not that tasty. Sorry????
The newly launched menu leaves you spoilt for choice but the specials sounded really special… and they were. We had a fillet steak and lamb shank both with the most gorgeous rich sauces, a delicious tower of triple cooked chips with the steak and sublime dauphinois potatoes with the lamb. We will definitely be back. The staff made excellent recommendations of wine and starters, we had planned to skip pudding but the special again dragged us in and so glad we went for it. Amazing value and far better than usual pub fayre!
Delicious Sunday lunch and friendly staff. My husband was easily able to order gluten free options.
