Quite an easy out-and-back style walk alongside two small lakes and a stream that connects them. I tend to prefer circular loops, so you can deviate off the main path to do this but they wouldn't be suitable for prams as these paths are more suitable for hiking. I visited at the end of April, the larger waterfall at the top of the walk dried up on this occasion.
There were a couple of nice viewpoints of the valley along the path despite this though as it was a clear day. It was a good place to see birds, we saw Mallard Ducks, Muscovy Ducks, Geese, and Coots.
The car park at the start of the walk is small. There is limited parking at the start of the walk on busy days. It looked like you could park further up by one of the lakes on the other side.
Small car park at the start. A nice walk with lots of trails, not really pram friendly apart from the cycle track. Did not get a chance to try the cafe, the kids were playing up. Along the way there's a memorial for the miners that died and also a swing park. I understand there's a waterfall further rap but did not get a chance to go on have a look again the kids were playing up. The locals tell me the cafe is quite nice.
Spent a very pleasant day. The park offers easy walks with some history available, Minors memorial, well worth the time.
Visitors centre, well kept food and drinks for purchase
A gorgeous country park with wonderful trails and majestic lakes! Saw my first Magpie Ducks here. A great place to bring the family and to walk the dog, or just to get out in the great outdoors and venture a little from the realms of urban society!
A wonderful place to visit the duck ponds ,and the memorial of the miners ,who lost their lives in the Cum Clydach mine ,the mine now a place of beauty., The path around the lakes are disabled friendly, but not the paths Upto the waterfalls or the hillside.
Nice lake, walked around and watched the ducks and geese. Cafe on site, didnt use as we stopped when passing. Pleasant walk.
Great little walk, quiet, beautiful sounds of wildlife and running water. Many small streams feeding into the lake area, lots of geese around.
Beautiful walk around the lake, plenty of wild ducks, geese and birds to watch on the way. Outside eating area available form the on site cafe/ bar. Free limited parking.
