Step in this time machine to transport yourself back to an era maybe not missed but entertaining to partake in. The menu comes with a pre-ordained warning that service time can be slow due to the freshness of the food preparation. That was definitely apparent when my cottage pie with chips and peas appeared. After taking a spoo-forkful I was quite taken back by the flavours that took course it’s definitely the best pie I’ve had!
Nice, homely atmosphere. The owners are really lovely and great company. The owner's father fought in WWII and he has a fantastic display of military uniforms and photos. Even the music is from that era, which was quite relaxing and enjoyable.
Visited today with family and we all agreed we have found our new favourite spot! The food was amazing, and all made to order from scratch. Mum had a cooked breakfast and every part was so fresh and such good quality! The service was second to none, and nothing was too much to ask. All the staff were amazing with the kids and happy to have a laugh with us adults also. The vibe is fantastic, and decor so special! Absolutely cannot fault this place, they truly deserve the five stars and more!!
We found this cafe purely by chance as our usual spot was closed.
The decor is fantastic, decked out in WW2 memorabilia! Old war time music playing too - really loved it. I wish I'd discovered this place before my grandad passed away late last ye
ar at 98 years old being an old war hero himself, I'm sure it would have meant a lot to him to visit.
The owner was very accommodating and shared knowledge from some of the photos on the walls and the young girls waiting were also great.
I so wanted to give a glowing 5 star review but the food just wasn't the best. The basic breakfast really is very basic! The sausage tasted like it was cheap and was if anything a bit under.
I would return just for the surroundings and maybe try something else to see if the dinners are any better than the breakfast.
If you're into military history then you really must visit.
Wonderful little cafe in Seaford. The staff here are really sweet and friendly. The decor (WW2) is really good, we feel as if we have gone back in time. Overall a nice spot for a quick lunch and drink!
The only cafe we stumbled upon after our windy hike along the seven sisters - and what a delightful surprise. The war themed decor, with an amazingly well-travelled owner truly impressed us. The coffee perfect, the chips even better (crispy on the outside and delicately soft on the inside).
Highly recommend!
Looks can be deceiving! Really friendly waiting staff and funky war themed decor. We had a vegetarian breakfast and an omelette, both were really nice. The menu is extensive, to the point where it has an index. If your looking for no frills classic cafe food this is your place.
While searching for a cafe in this area, you seem to first fine Evina’s cafe, but then you stumble onto this little coffee and food place. I never found Evina’s but in my search for a good coffee I found this place.
Not the coziest or trendy atmosphere, but the coffee was good. Nice and friendly owner - had a nice chat.
