Stayed for two nights for easy access to Glencoe for a few days of skiing/walking. Run by a lovely couple who couldn't be anymore helpful. A lovely warm clean room with tea, coffee and a stocked fridge inc biscuits what more could you need after a hard day in the mountains. The Breakfast was absolutely top notch porridge cooked to perfection, breakfast so good they should open a cafe! Fruit, cereals the lot! There's big parking spots outside so no worries on where to park! This will be my first port of call when I visit again!
Great option for someone hiking the West Highland Way and stopping over in Tyndrum; 40 ft. off the trail. The couple running this couldn’t be more accommodating and helpful. Had an early start the next day and they were glad to serve breakfast early; and a very good breakfast it was. We were half way through our week and needed some laundry done - no problem, they handled it. A very nice pub and restaurant were just a short walk away with good food. We got good “intel” on the trail we’d be on the next day and good recommendations for lunch.
Our favorite stop on the West Highland Way. Hosts were spectacular, really did feel like a family visit. Everything was clean and the food was fantastic. I'd come here again in a heartbeat. I know I'm using a lot of superlatives, but they're all true!
We were hiking the highland way and stayed here for one night. We absolutely loved this place. It was the best place we stayed on the hike. The owners are incredibly welcoming and it felt like visiting old family. The owners were incredibly friendly and generous and offered lots of great advice.
Also the breakfast portions were huge! Definitely go for the oats though as they were delicious.
One thing to remember if you visit. This is not a hotel this is a bnb and also their home. You’re going to get the warm hospitality of their home but it should not be treated like a chain hotel it’s far better than that.
Lots of free snacks and drinks in the room. Rooms are clean and comfortable.
Loved this quaint cottage. Carmen was very accommodating. The room we had was one of the best equipped for walkers/hikers with every amenity one could ask for. Breakfast was wonderful and served in a lovely sunporch with garden views and Carmen's many bird feeders. I highly recommend!
Without any doubt, this is the best bed and breakfast I have ever stayed at. The welcome was so warm, the facilities perfect, and nothing was too much trouble for my hosts. The breakfast was spectacular. You can also choose a time for breakfast, which is a big plus. The location is the best possible for walkers, because not only is there beautiful scenery and fine hills around Tyndrum, but the location allows you to easily get north, south, east or west - by car, train or bus. Nowhere else puts so much fine walking within easy reach. Ideal too for anyone walking the West Highland Way. I have stayed at very many good B&Bs and guest houses throughout the Scottish Highlands - but this was perfect in every way.
Stayed while doing the West Highland Way. Carmen welcomed me, and ran me through everything. I have some food allergies and she made sure to let me know she had plenty for me to eat! The room was perfect - very spacious and well setup, surprisingly large bathroom (I had a room upstairs). Laundry was £8 per load and so worth it! Breakfast was wonderful, too much food. The garden is beautiful. Wifi worked great. Really well placed for continuing on the West Highland Way.
Carmen and Tom were the kindest and most generous hosts you could wish for. I hurt my ankle before arriving and Carmen offered ice packs, helped us dry our boots and even offered snacks to take with us. It felt very homely and genuine. The breakfast was very generous too and delicious - it kept me going until Kingshouse. The room was very nicely set up and even had a fridge and midge net on the window. The view from the conservatory dining area is beautiful- there are lots of birds and you can see the hills on the horizon. All amenities were functioning and, again, a generous offering of teas, coffees and biscuits was there too. I was reminded of my grandparents’ house growing up - expect a really kind and homely experience if you visit this one :) Carmen said the most important thing before we left was to “build good memories” and our stay with Carmen and Tom was certainly that! I hope to visit again in the future.
