Being new to the village, i started following cj's on facebook, and after seeing the wonderful pictures of food cj's provide, I had to check it out.
From the moment I had entered the door, I was greeted with a warm welcome by the friendly staff.
After ordering the philly cheese steak baguette, I was told it would be 5 mins and to take a seat. Although I was having my food to takeaway, I was offered a glass of water while I waited.
The food itself was delicious, very well cooked, and very filling due to the portion size. I will definitely be trying out some more of the menu.
Must visit if passing through Cholsey. Good coffee and the lamb Cuban roll I had was epic; well filled and with fresh salad too. Very friendly warm place.
Visited with my friend today and had the loviest time here. Such a nice atmosphere and the staff are so kind and friendly. I went back in later and got a box of gorgeous cakes to take back home with me for a party. 100/100!
Could not get a better cafe for our village! Healthy options are rare anywhere, but CJ’s offer it all. I ordered the Halloumi Buddha Bowl (too early I might add as it starts from 11am, but this was no trouble for them) - it was absolutely incredible. So many gorgeous flavours & the right quantities of each item. Cannot recommend them enough & cant wait to get this weekly!!! ???????? thank you guys, you are amazing! X
I used to come here weekly to grab a poke bowl/salad bowl. The price would range from £6-£8 on average. They have brought out a newer menu recently and they now cost £12!! The last one I ordered had some salad, couscous and falafels, taken from a Tesco packet to their own bowl. Regardless, I cannot justify coming here anymore which is a shame. The price points of other items seem to be reasonable so I don’t understand why the healthy option isn’t?
Amazing food served with a smile. I had the pulled pork bowl, the flavours, the textures and the visual of the dish was amazing. The crunchiness of the fresh vegetables whit the sour, spicy and soft meat was amazing… also the kimchi touch to finalize … love it… my mouth felt like was a party going on and also I felt like I was transported to a different place and time. The service was 5stars, attention to detail, polite, attentive, friendly… Amazing place and people!
Always a delight to have a treat at CJ's. Exemplary food served by very friendly and attentive staff. Highly recommend.
Always happy to adapt menu to take in to consideration dietary requirements with no grumbling and a smile.
This is a fantastic service for the village. My wife and I regularly pop in for lunch when working from home. The food takes a while, but it’s freshly cooked to order and always delivers on flavour and quality, and the service is always friendly. Long may CJ’s last in the village.
