Upon walking in, the server rushed us to order and leave. Food looked like it was going to be good, but was terrible. The pasta was bland. The chicken was flavorless and soggy. The beef lacked any flavor of meet and only tasted like blue cheese. Salmon was okay.
Plenty of food options on the menu, however they had run out of certain pasta dishes by 2.00pm which meant there was less choice. The Napolitana pizza was baked well and tasted ok, however slightly dry. The lasagna was average. The food overall was reasonable for the price we paid. A lot of the staff seemed to be fairly new which meant service was slower.
Management from hell—and I don’t even work there. This place was a shambles the moment we walked in and I instantly regretted it. I’ve never felt so uncomfortable with a waiter.
Firstly, we were told off for sitting at a dirty table. Sorry mate, that sounds like a YOU problem. Secondly, the manager was SCREAMING at his employees in front of everyone. Telling them they couldn’t take lunch now, screaming people’s’ orders at them, swearing at them, shouting that he wanted his GIN AND TONIC. Then turning to us and saying ENJOY THE FREE ENTERTAINMENT!!! My goodness I’ve never cringed so much in my life.
Then he came to our table and made some lame joke about being intimidated by beautiful women, asking the men how we act so cool around them. The whole experience was just awkward, and I felt so bad for the employees. That manager needs to GO! I was embarrassed to be there.
Great little find just outside London Bridge Station. Really friendly staff, quick service, lovely reasonably priced food. Nice atmosphere. Could maybe do with a quick brighten up inside. Would certainly recommend
Great tasting sandwiches; we had the Hunter’s Chicken and a Scottish Ribeye. Great value. Fast, friendly service. One of the best values along the Thames.
A perfect spot for a coffee and a sandwich if you're in the London Bridge/Tower Bridge area. A genuine old-fashioned Italian café. Food is excellent, coffee is better than at the chains, and served with real smiles and a bit of friendly chat by the busy yet unruffled staff. Pictures of Italian footballers and movie stars, and other interesting stuff to distract you while you eat. A top-notch experience!
I’m lost for words over management at this place. He was rude to guests and frankly seemed a bit crazy. Screamed at staff in front of us and told us to enjoy the show. Made sexist comments to the females at our table. Reading the other reviews I’m in shock that this man is still working there. We were all very uncomfortable and will def not go there again
The Cafe looks good but the Food and Service is bad.
From walking in and having some Waiter 'barking' at us for walking in the wrong door (if you don't want people to use it, lock it or put a SIGN ON IT)
To the quality of food ????, I ordered a Croque Monsieur, what arrived had cold cheese in it and I do mean COLD (like it had just come out of a Fridge ????) The Cheese they use wasn't Gruyère, instead it was some cheap greasy Cheddar, and there was no Mustard Mayo either - the thing was just a greasy mess and fowl tasting..???? I asked them to fix it and I received a miserable response from them.
Just avoid, there's plenty of better places to eat around there...
