When in Letchworth I always used to like visiting this authentic Italian café for coffee/cake/sandwich, but unfortunately on my last visit the coffee and food was very poor in quality. The coffee seems to have changed and tasted very inferior (like instant coffee), and the sandwich quality was very low and wasn't fresh - it was stale with very sparse filling. Changes that are poor in quality with same remaining high charges to customers is bad business. There is no more authentic Italian quality to this café and is perhaps under different ownership. There are other places in Letchworth serving great quality coffee/cakes/sandwiches that are fresh and good quality at reasonable prices. Ciao Italia's customer offerings is such poor quality with a greedy mark-up on price.
Amazing coffee shop. They sell a variety of Italian foods, including packaged ones to take home, cannolis, arancinis, gelato etc ... the staff who work there are so so lovely, every time I've gone in they have always been so friendly, helpful and smiley! They often advise what food goes best with your drink, which is lovely. The coffee is amazing, and I have a weak spot for their Nutella latte. There is indoor and outdoor seating. The owner of the shop is absolutely lovely.
I would recommend this coffee shop to anyone and everyone.
The coffee is simply the best. I asked about it and it's blended and roasted by the owner. It really is worth a visit to try it. Cakes are all Italien and absolutely delicious. A gem.

It's such a lovely coffee shop. We (4) had mochiato coffee, hot chocolate with all of the timings, croissants, cheesecake and some biscotti. It was reasonably priced and the staff are friendly and helpful. Definitely recommend!!
I've been going to Ciao Italia ever since they opened and their always coming up with new things. their latest addition- Vegan and Dairy free cakes - which is a plus for me , They have a range of cakes from Biscoff Sticky Toffee Pudding and Toasted Coconut and dark chocolate flapjack (which I hade yesterday)
The desserts are delicious especially the tube ones ( don’t know the name of them) I tried the lemon and the coconut, absolutely delicious. The ham and cheese flatbread is nice but needs more filling and the Nutella hot chocolate is yummy. Hit the spot :)
