Chris cut 2 new car keys for me and was very responsive, professional, very reasonable cost. I can now get to my Physio business Barrow & District Physiotherapy without having to rely on trains. How can anyone NOT leave a five star review? I hate going to garages, don’t care what anyone says I always seem to get treat differently and I think it’s because I’m a female. Was sold a dodgy car by jd motors dalton, the lakes garage on salt house road has two nasty, lying men working there, the Rifleman’s, just didn’t want to talk to me and Halfords man got nasty with me because I interrupted his texting. So I was very dubious of getting in touch with CHRIS RITCHIE, it got to the stage were I really would have done without my car rather than phone a garage. This man came out to my home on his day off and spent about 20-30 minutes making me a car key (I had lost my only one). When I had first texted him I was shocked (in a nice way) of what he had said about getting me back on the road very quickly. He came and did my car and the next day I sent him a photo, two hours later literally after me getting my new key someone had found my old key. I got another awesome text off this guy (Chris) , ( cant say what it was as to many scammers about) he made my Christmas and brought me and my girls back together for Christmas which otherwise would have been a lonely one on my own. I’m going to this garage again in January to get an mot, if all the guys there are as nice as Chris then I’ll be going there in future. Chris obviously has to charge you for fixing your car etc but it’s the minimum and he does this for YOU not himself

I lost my car keys on a walk in the lakes. I spoke with Chris, he gave me an excellent quote, and advised me to check with my insurance company.

I got lucky and a helpful person handed my keys in and I had them returned, whilst Chris was driving out to me. He laughed cheerfully and told me no problem, and no call out charge, despite having set off to get to me.

I locked myself out my car with my puppy inside. Chris’s son immediately left were he was and came to our rescue. I could not of asked for a better service, and also so friendly and extremely reasonably priced. I received text messages to keep me updated as to when to expect arrival which I really appreciated due to my puppy being locked in the car. I would highly recommend
