We were stranded this week with a broken windscreen wiper and unable to drive in the heavy rain. Despite having closed for the day the owner of the business reopened, found some parts and made a temporary wiper so we could get home. It took him a while in the pouring rain but he was absolutely lovely about it. Thank you so much for rescuing us!
Our BMW broke down whilst towing our caravan back to Edinburgh from London, we were escorted of the motorway to this garage, they tried to find the replacement parts needed to repair the car but nothing was available for at least a day, one of the mechanics had a look and said he would carry out temporary repair to get us home. The man is a genius, had us back on the road within half an hour. I cannot praise him high enough. What more can I say, first class and very friendly service. I have no hesitation recommending Chonka MOT & Vehicle Services.

I was at the beginning of a long journey South when something came lose on the bottom of my car. Stuck my head in at Chonka for some help on a very busy Monday morning, they quickly and professionally identified a heat shield which was flapping about. The guys were very happy to pop the car on a ramp to give a temporary fix to allow me to get on my way, job done in 10 minutes. They provided advice about replacing the part in time, but also reassurance that for the time being it was fixed.

Went and spent the day at Aysgarth Falls with my daughter which was nearly 2 hours away from home and needed to refuel on the way home. My fuel cap wouldn’t open and after several failed attempts by passers by we couldn’t get it open. Was advised to go round the back to this garage where Bruce the owner didn’t hesitate to help me. He eventually got into it and diagnosed the problem for me free of charge! If I could give this garage 10 stars I really would! Such a lovely man and thanks to him I’m no longer stranded. I cannot thank you enough xx
Top banana garage, they took my Corsa in with a hole in the manifold, I looked up the part on Vauxhall and was going to cost a fortune, I nearly had a heart attack, they managed to repair it! felt like a miracle. If they can fix it they will! Thinking back actually, they sorted my wife's airbag warning light a year previous without having to order an expensive part. Very trust worthy garage if it can be fixed they'll do it. Got my discs and pads done as well. I very much appreciate their hard work and will be returning.
So happy with the work done to my Ford kuga. Had a remapped and a dpf solution and clean. Surprised with the quick turn around and delighted with the customer service... would definitely recommend !!!
