Very dissapointed. Beatiful place but it's not very welcoming with access to the lake fenced off and 'prosection for tresspasing' signs everywhere. We drove for a while to get here and had nothing but dissapointment. Why you would prevent people from enjoying such a beatiful spot in the countryside is beyond me.
It's like fishing in a P.O.W Camp, always being watched by bailiffs from bushes. NO relaxing fishing to be had. It's been turned from a beautiful wild lake into a commercial carp lake. Groups turn up and stay for days. A lot of the regulars have moved on to pastures greener. This IS NOW the Worst place to go for a fish. I was a member for over 20 years.
I fish here with my husband and children. We are questioning whether to renew his membership due to drugs parifinalia being left behind by the youths. Also the antisocial behaviour of the same "people". Language is terrible, the swimming in the lake, the rubbish they leave behind. We also enjoy walking here until recently. We struggle to find empty swims (that are purposely for fishing no partys) because they are filled up with large groups NOT fishing. They play loud music and it's a mess. I really hope something can be done about this.

Beautiful setting. Parking nearby, access to open water swimming (paid through triswim) and easy to navigate too.
Chipstead lake is good in the summer but I don't mind all weather but it's good to enjoy n have fun n to enjoy the water
Chipstead is a lovely place and I really enjoyed a walk around their lake..
It lovely place live and good is great too and all the people that work ok too
