If i could i wouldn't even rate it a 1 star!! First time ordering from here as we stayed in the forest of dean. In all my life I've never tasted such disgusting food. Black bean sauce was not black bean sauce..it was some kinda weird charcoal tasting watery mess. Curry sauce was very watered down. No flavour. Vile. The chicken was ....i don't think it was even chicken. Such a huge disappointment and expense. Spent £38 for the whole lot to be thrown in the bin. Never again!
what a mistake I ordered sweet & sour mixed, mixed foo young & chicken foo young two with chips & a fried rice.
Everything that is fried tastes like the oil is rancid, the chips, fried rice & foo young all tasted awful & the foo young was runny & seemed half cooked.
The sweet and sour tasted ok but the sauce would mask the flavour if it was not right.
I have had chinese food all over the country & this one is one of the worst ( avoid, go elsewhere)
Food was OK but I've had better. Service was smooth and wait time was good.
Think I'll try a different one next time though, only tried as a recommendation
Hot, tasty and full of flavour. Not greasy and it was all cooked fresh to order. Very friendly staff and very reasonable prices. Everything we ordered was eaten with nothing left which is a sign of how good it was. Would definitely recommend.
I feel awful Saying this, but I used to eat here every week, I haven’t for a year as I found another Chinese. But I Decided to order last night and I’ve never been so disappointed in a Chinese as I was last night. We didn’t eat anything , even my children said it was horrible . Complete waste of £30. The rice tasted chemically. The spring rolls was not nice, I bit into it and they were slimy and overcooked on outside. The Chips were hard and overcooked again.
Terrible experience, I placed my order and was told it’ll be ready in 1 hour. When I arrived 1 hour later to collect my order I was informed my Order had been cancelled because they didn’t have some of the ingredients to make my dish. However no one called to let us know or ask if we would like a different dish absolutely useless. I have now had to order with another restaurant and wait another hour. Will not be returning
Worst Chinese we've ever eaten in the forest of dean, undercooked food, weird tasting foods and just overall poor standard. I left the food as it didnt taste right, the crispy chilli beef tasted funny as did all of it apart from the chips. Cant quite understand this, as our last meal here was good quality. The crispy chilli beef was squidgy and stuck together, the mushrooms had a strange taste and were barely cooked at all, and the mixed satay vegetables tasted far from any satay we've ever had before. Very poor standard and disappointing.
Delicious takeaway food, cooked fresh to order and not too pricey. Lean cuts of meat. Crisp batter, veg perfectly cooked, sauces full of flavour. Always a friendly greeting. Highly recommended.
