We had the pensioner special, fish chips, peas, curry/gravy. All for £5. Best fish and chips I've had in Runcorn in my 38 yrs of living here. The staff were helpful and courteous. All the food was cooked fresh. Highly recommend
Bit of a wait but it's cos everything is made to order and well worth waiting for. Everything I've tried from there is amazing with good portions, but make sure ya try the hot and sour soup! It's bangin! The staff are sound, the place is spotless and ya can see the guys cooking it. Give it a whirl!
Food is one of the best Chinese's I’ve ever had… great set up. Although young girl taking orders seems to have no customer skills, felt passive and dismissed. I Realise the stress of working in fast food but a smile goes a long way.
Came in this evening for my tea as so many been raving about it, superb atmosphere with the staff. Inside the shop is immaculate. I got the Donna kebab & it was huge. Saved some for my tea tomorrow. The lad who done the kebab was helpful & polite, real pleasure to have on the team. Good luck I’ll be back
Been twice n both times the chips was hard staff was lovely but ur paying for the food not the staff so was disappointing
the food was okay but the customer service really brought this experience down! we waited 45 minutes for salt and pepper chicken, chips and boiled rice! the chicken was a terrible portion and not worth the price! there was a girl on the front quite young with dark hair who was very rude. didnt look at a customer once! when we asked where our food was up to she was blunt and raised her voice at my friend and then proceeded to make a comment about her to one of her colleagues in front of another customer!!! she was disorganised aswell as the rest of the staff and they even got our order wrong after we had waited so long and paid so much! Last but not least… we got home a few minutes later and the food was cold! WE WILL NOT BE GOING BACK
Hmm I think I have found my regular chippy The fish and chips was spectacular nice melt in your mouth batter and fish was yummy I will be ordering again in the near future, the staff were fantastic and amazing and happy to help with any unique requirements, well done guys
Feeling a bit down, so I figured; sod it - I'll have a Chi Kee Chinese... :) I live local and I'd heard there had been a revamp. Seen the place was open, so went in. Blew me away. From the old the new? You wouldn't recognise the place.
This retail outlet wouldn't look out of place in a major city centre, anywhere. Fully open kitchen, large waiting area, modern surroundings, veryfriendly staff; even when they're busy (as they were when I went in, and they deserve to be) and minimal wait. Brilliant. Five star.
And the food? Now my benchmark for a decent Chinese, is Special Fried Rice and a Carton of Curry. Simplest is best. Because if they can't get that right, it doesn't look good for the rest of the menu; does it? And you know what I'm gonna say ... They nailed it. Just the right amount of salt in the rice, loads of pork, chicken, beef and vegetables. And no pretentious extras like eggs on top of big slabs of meat. The curry? Perfect colour, perfect amount of spices and just enough to go with the rice. The packaging was different, as well; round container for the rice, well done.
Overall, I'm impressed; and that's hard to do. And they're my local. Get a feeling in gonna be skint for a while ...
