Been with this Surgery for 30 years. Always been great. Professional. Great care and attention. Lovely staff. Dr Scott has always been fabulous. Never any mistakes. Then the takeover by another practice and it all falls apart. Mistake after mistake. Terrible queues on telephone. Very unprofessional and rude reception staff. Medical samples missing. Forms not signed by doctors. Days to chase up doctors note. Then when you stand your ground, tell them you aren’t happy with the appalling service and refuse to leave until you see Dr Scott which he advised me to do and as per usage sorted it out in a professional manner, I then am sent a warning letter stating I might be struck off if I have ago at staff again. Well your staff instigated the argument. They wouldn’t tell Dr Scott I was there. Just an appalling surgery now. Really avoid. I’m changing Doctors once had hospital procedure. Absolute disgrace.
Surgery has gone downhill. I find staff to be unhelpful at best. Unless they surgery is trying to get you to book an appointment they are not interested. I have decided to triage their calls like mine… tell me what you want I will go away and think about it then triage whether or not I need to see you by phone also…. Confirm an appointment then text to say no can do here are alternatives (will ensure to include when they too are not available). The worst!!
When the doctor tells you he's the one with the medical degree and he's right. Speaks down to people on the phone. Dr Scott you're no better than anyone else you may have a degree but you certainly have no manners or respect for your patients Has put me off this surgery totally. Even the secretary is very rude and interrupted as I was talking, then proceeded to tell me it was me who the rude one. I only phoned up about a repeat prescription
Phoned 3 times 45 minutes each time then when got through told them how long ive waited and the receptionist said there phone has been quiet, when Dr Scott run it was brilliant, the receptionist said phone back at 2 as fully booked im leaving
Scott is a terrible so called medic. Rude dismissive and speaks over you, I've had severe health problems which he just said was ok and offers only paracetamol won't even check me. Suffice to say second opinion medics have literally saved me, if you suspect cancer do not go to Scott, or this gp as it will be too late
My 7month grandson has had a temp varying between 39 and 41 for 10 days now. After trips to and from gp and a and e my daughter asked me to attend an appointment this morning regarding how poorly the little mite has been.
My experience of having 5 children suggested to me that something was definitely a miss because I had never known a baby have such a fever for so long without there being an explanation.
Unfortunately the GP was uninterested in my input and grew very defensive when I informed him that not only did I know what I was talking about, I had the qualifications to prove it.
He then suggested that I might support my daughter, although what he thought I was doing at his surgery at that particular time is beyond me. He gave my daughter a prescription for antibiotics without actually knowing what he was treating.
It is very unfortunate if a young mom cannot seek support from her own mother without the GP having a meltdown and acting very unprofessionally, he obviously felt threatened or not used to answering questions about his practice. His name dr Scott and he will not be treating my grandson again. I am outraged at the moment, if GP’s do not realise how powerful they are they should not be allowed to practice!
A brilliant surgery. Dr Scott is always polite and welcoming. Zoe, the nurse helped me to quit smoking after 47 years.
