A most enchanting place, with mouthwatering food (look at that chicken wrap!) and beautiful entertainment. We had a blast, and cannot recommend this place enough. Make sure to pop in over the festive season for some great food, time or just goodies as the guys also prep really nice christmas presents!
I recently had the pleasure of dining at this wonderful Armenian cafe, and I must say it was an exceptional experience. The cozy ambiance, combined with the rich aroma of authentic Armenian spices, created the perfect setting for a delightful Armenian jazz inspired lunch. I had a mouthwatering lamb stew cooked in beer with vegetables and homemade Armenian matnaqash bread! The manager, Irina, was not only attentive but also knowledgeable, offering excellent recommendations. From the first bite to the last, it surpassed my expectations. I left with a satisfied palate and a desire to return soon. A true gem for anyone seeking an authentic Armenian culinary experience!
Purchased an afternoon tea with Groupon. Who sells it as afternoon tea but tea not included?? Cost me an extra £4 for 2 teas!! Then the food. One roll each. My chicken and mayo was mayo only . The 2 slices of cake were dry. Some old grapes and a slice of pear and that was it!???????? worst afternoon tea I have ever ever had.And the host was rude. We were the only customers in there. Plenty of other cafes in the area and they are busy for s reason!!
Stumbled across this whilst mooching around Southwell. It’s a lovely upstairs space (tho’ with a few tables downstairs too if stairs aren’t for you). It’s an interesting building with large tables and relaxed table service.
The food sets it apart. Interesting stuff just right for lunch, tho’ with a substantial meal special on too. We had wraps and an Armenian bruschetta, which were perfect… just great taste. This has all the hallmarks of someone who really understands food… deep flavoured, carefully prepared from scratch.
Service was charming and efficient.
It was a freezing day and the space was struggling to get warm, but everything else about this place screamed warmth and care. Very much recommended.
Amazing hidden treasure in the heart of Southwell
We were lucky enough to stumble across this gorgeous cafe this weekend. Dog friendly, delicious food and cakes, lovely hospitality and perfect location.
Couldn't ask for more - even open on a Sunday!
My partner and I have visited a few times and were met with delicious food (especially the Armenian specials), incredibly friendly service and a loving atmosphere. The tea selection is incredible - I have tried so many new flavours. We also really enjoy all of the games and music that is available. We are happy to drive over 50mins to visit because it really is that good!
Thanks for the amazing food and Armenian coffee. We will be back to try the other dishes. The owner of the cafe is very knowledgeable and exceptional.
Beautiful food for a reasonable price, a really nice atmosphere and a lovely interior with gorgeous paintings and the board games are a really nice addition. Would definitely recommend.
