Fantastic food and great people running the restaurant. Sea bass was a special and looked so good that we had to try it before taking a picture. Pasta and starters excellent too - and importantly superb value! Recommended.
We were walking around trying to find a place to eat, since it's our first time in Scotland. We wanted to walk around and explore and stop somewhere that just sounded good. We stumbled upon this adorable restaurant and just HAD to go in. We were greeted immediately by the owner and he was so kind. He sat us down and gave us his daily specials, which all sounded so good! We picked our food and his wife helped serve. This couple took AND cooked our order. The ingredients were so fresh and so delicious. We are definitely coming back because we just need to try more. The owners are so wonderful. We had some amazing conversations about pretty much everything! By the way, the cheesecake literally melts in your mouth...it was THAT amazing. Thank you so much for your amazing food and service.
Easy to find. Surprisingly quiet. Attentive and pleasant waitress. Simple menu and decor. Delicious food. Very tender, perfectly cooked rib eye, with home made Diane sauce. Great pizza garlic bread with cheese. Everything felt clean and fresh. My teenage son loved it too (he had bolognese). We plan to visit again either on our journey through the area or when we stay locally for the airport. Very reasonably priced. Paid £50/- for two inclusive of pudding and two soft drinks.
Fantastic food, some of the best Italian I have had. Service was very good and polite, only one employee who did everything and did a fantastic job! Will be back!
Lovely genuine Italian restaurant owned and run by the same family for many years. We were there on a quiet Tuesday night which meant we had the chance to chat whilst being served, and not forgetting enjoying our host’s cooking as well! Well prepared and presented. Not overly fancy, just good ingredients done well. Highly recommend.
Four of us had a fabulous meal in Chenzo’s restaurant in Uphall (near Broxburn), on Saturday 9th December. We had gorgeous mussels and garlic bread to share as a starter and the fabulous four main courses were: rib eye steak (cooked to perfection), beautiful sea bass, a tasty chicken dish and a lovely fresh pizza. All four meals had fabulous flavour and had been cooked fresh and were absolutely delicious! The owners are so lovely and friendly. Even if you don’t live nearby, it’s worth making the effort to visit this restaurant, the food is fairly priced and of exceptional quality.
Had such a lovely dinner tonight at Chenzos! We were looking for somewhere to eat and chuffed we found this place. Service is great, very attentive, the food was delicious and very reasonably priced. Would definitely go back!
A really lovely and genuine Italian restaurant. The food was delicious - and the atmosphere friendly and welcoming. My husband and I spotted Chenzo's by chance on a recent trip to Edinburgh. Our dinner experience was so enjoyable that we returned on the second night of our stay in Uphall.Thank you ????
