Stayed here recently, very large room, bit dated but immaculately clean. Great bed very comfortable and excellent bedding. Entrance up a lane but don’t let that put you off. Bar was quiet but a word to the young lady Donatella who booked us in she was excellent and very helpful and her bar was a credit to her.. Also we left something behind and when contacted they assured us the would post on to us, service like that is worth a mention..Thank you.
Clean and welcoming location. Easily accessible from the port. Welcoming and cooperative staff. The bar, a typical Scottish one, well stocked with a lot of local and international drinks.

Stayed here twice now, stayed in room 1 deluxe room. Its absolutely perfect, rooms comfortable, clean and the beds perfect for a good sleep.
Had breakfast both times and the woman who does breakfast is amazing, so helpful and friendly. Made my breakfast takeaway each time which I thank her for.
Will be back as I work away from home and it's hassle free.
Lovely hidden gem. Great selection of alcohol. The food looked amazing (didn't eat here). The staff are super friendly. Give it a try. 5☆☆☆☆☆
Location was great as I stopped here due to work, staff was very friendly. Rooms were clean with tea, coffee and bottle water to hand. I had the Rooms on the top floor with a great view of the harbour. But shared bathroom( if you have Mobility issues you may struggle with all the stairs ) no food serviced but you do have a nice takeaway next door or subway. Very reasonable price too. No parking bit lots of road side parking free after 5pm.
Everything was perfect, the staff was so kind they went out of there way to make us feel comfortable. The room was clean with a spectacular view and it was just the best experience ever. Also thanks to the locals that made this trip unforgettable!! Highly recommended!!
Cheers rooms are clean, warm and the beds are super comfy. Hotel is located right in the centre of town and the bar is light and cheery. Staff and management were excellent and resolved an error I had made on my booking with no additional charge. Will definitely use this bar and hotel again.
Stayed one night with work.|Well situated if you need to be in town though parking could be an issue when busy as on street. |No food at all due to Covid which is understandable but close to take always so not a problem. Staff friend;y and helpful despite obvious challenges at the moment. Room booked a double with en-suite but got a double room with shared bathroom, bathroom not overly clean. Water pressure in shower absolutely rubbish so actually difficult to shower though water was nice and hot. Both room and Bathroom freezing cold (heating working but on frost watch) room didn’t warm up much all night as stormy outside and draughty. Bed very comfortable and a nice warm duvet which was a plus. TV signal not great on all channels (some were fine) probably due to stormy weather but internet was fine so not a problem. Bar looked nice but was closed due to Covid obviously. |Booking agent told me rooms had been renovated but no evidence of this in my room (4) with damage to walls and damp from dorma having said that the furniture all looked new. |Would like to return when not locked down to see how much better it is when operating normally.||For me biggest issue - not en-suite and room temperature. After being outside all day I wanted a nice shower and warm up, had to sit in my van with heaters on to get warm after shower before returning to my room.
