Best KPortal Reviews
A nice historic building. There's obviously been modification over the years. I haven't been for food or one of their music nights so I have no opinion on that but it's a nice local drinking hole.
A 20-minute walk from the Kassam Stadium along a dual carriageway. Nice exterior. The interior is a bit disappointing after obvious modernisation, although a real fire and an old settle seat are a nice touch.
Two real ales on offer, nothing exciting, Doombar and London Pride.
Friendly pub and not too busy before the match.
A quick pint of average London Pride at £4.50 a pint.
Lovely venue for a party, outside area is well lit at night. The staff are friendly and provide a good service.
Overall the place is clean and tidy.
Haven't eaten there yet but hope to soon
Very friendly pub that we use prior to the Oxford United games. No airs and graces, just good staff, good beers and good atmosphere. Would have got 5 stars if they sold better cider, Aspall's or Thatchers but you can't have everything.
Very friendly, and dog friendly pub with great atmosphere. Took my mum here during her visit to Oxford. The curry was amazing and the staff very friendly. Would highly recommend, thanks guys!
An indifferent welcome - no trad' beers on display but in the words of the staff "we have a IBC or something"....I asked what it was and they didn't know, I then asked for a taste and it wasn't available.... settled with a pint of Stella, which was good but didn't stop for another.
I wouldn't return here and therefore I can not recommended this pub.
Good pub with good beer, friendly locals and nice staff. I was here for a recent Bolton Wanderers game, only about 20minute walk from the stadium
Never been before..Food was good...Its a pub/Indian which also does take out..Personally I felt that the place needs organising..It was hard to work out who was staff and we were left without drinks for 20 minutes..The place was full as it was bingo night, so silence was observed when bingo started..I felt it was very much a locals pub...
