Lovely looking tower / small castle but it isn’t clear if it is possible to visit. Hidden away from the road by woodland, it can be observed from the church on the hillside above. Various websites state it was restored from ruin in the 1980s and airhead is, or has been an hotel
I'd love to be able to sit and write a review about how amazing this place is but putting into words just how much I enjoyed my time spent at Castle Stuart is difficult!
Truly one of the most unbelievable courses I've ever played! Even with the wind howling, causing the course to pay in true links fashion the course itself was pristine and an amazing challenge!
Practice facilities where fantastic as were the clubhouse and Staff to make for an unforgettable experience!
If you're thinking about making a trip here to play or even visit, don't think any longer....book up! You won't regret it!
Would like to go hear looks great ????
If I could give the course and ALL the people who worked there 6 stars I would. They could not have been more welcoming and helpful and even though for half the holes we were drenched, we still had an amazing round of golf. The accommodation was simply perfect. The whole set up is superb and we will definitely go back. Thank you everyone at CS!
Lovely Castle ideal for weddings
Because it's such an historically important place and nearly hidden and publicly neglected up to today, it is worth a walk through the madows around it. Today, there is only left the (privately owned and modified) gate building. The castle itself, reaching up to the hill, is 100% destroyed and not a single stone left, giving an example, how the English treated their enemies, when setting up their "United Kingdom".
One of the best courses I have played, tees and level of difficulty to suit all handicap's and abilities, stunning views from all areas of the property, staff are excellent and so is the fare, don't drive past the gem it's really worth the time and effort.
Beautiful castle, shame in some disrepair and unused.
