We get fish and chips from here every so often, and each time there’s always issues. The young guy on the counter was extremely rude and arrogant, all the food sticks to the paper. Curry sauce comes half empty, overall not a great experience.
Well, what can I say? As we entered, there was an enormous queue, and we decided to wait and thank God we did. This was by far the best chippy I have visited this year, thank you very much for my cod and chips.
Very nice venue, quick and pleasant service.
The fish and chips was wonderful, The chips where fluffy on the inside and a golden crunchy exterior. The fish was a very good size with a wonderful light crispy batter.
Note, when I arrived it was cash only, not sure if this is normal but the staff where extremely helpful and gave me directions to the cash point less than 1 Min walk.

Really great fresh fish, with crispy, light batter. Lovely chips with plenty of salt & vinegar. Fast, friendly service. Clean oil. Love it when you find a properly good fish & chip shop like this one ???? Loved it!
We had a family treat fish and chips and battered sausages when we got home to enjoy are meal there was so much grease and the oil used to cook the food tased old and had a strange taste we ended up throwing the food away will not be ordering again
1st visit last night. (8/6/21) well worth the 14 mile round journey. My husband is fussy with his cod and daughter with her chips. The oil was fresh meant everything looked lovely, crispy (cod and battered sausage) chips were spot on, so a very tasty meal indeed. This was 10/10 for all of us and will be back every time we holiday in East Compton. Thank you to you all that work there.
The best fish and chips I've ever had! Still lovely after a mile walk back to the station definitely advise people to go here for a quick tasty bite to eat! Plus the food was cook to order so can't get any fresher than that!
