This is my first time going to this place. I ordered fish chips, and it was good. The preparation of getting the takeaway was well prepared and on time.
I only waited for 15 minutes for it, but it was worth the wait. They make your order fresh.
I would totally come here again and I told my family about this place.
Best fish and chips in South London! And in London I haven't eaten better fish and chips so far. People running the place are wonderful, and take care of every customer, always very friendly and caring. It's reasonably priced, and for the quality and size of potion you'll get the price is excellent. Our favourite spot in Streatham. Fish is always very fresh! Real cutlery is a nice detail, and there is no atmosphere of a fast food place, comfy armchairs and good ventilation! My partner who isn't a huge fan of fish in general likes it here very much. Absloute gem of a place.
I’ve ordered here a few times and the food was good but this time it was horrendous, the pie I received could of honestly smashed glass it was rock hard and then when I opened the pie it was black and charred inside and dried out. To which just eat refuse to refund me for so not a great experience!
First time eating fish and chips from Castella’s and they were amazing ???? I ordered the medium cod and chips. The fish was fresh and the batter was so crispy. The service was incredible and they make you feel so welcome. Highly recommend.
So, there's been a lot of hype since this place was being done up becoming Kennedy's competitors, also had a friend recommend the place to me. Starting with the chips, they are very fresh with very good flavour. You know when they have good taste without sauce, salt or vinegar you know they're great! The calamari rings were a huge disappointment. I was hoping for fresh battered rings but these taste like most chippies that buy them in pre-made and frozen. Iceland has better calamari rings in their frozen section. This is pretty much what sets Castella's and Kennedy's apart when the price point is the same (it's also smaller portions). If castella's made their own fresh battered rings like kennedy's then they could be a real contender for me. I'll assume the scampi is the same ????????
The piece of cod we just had delivered is beyond taking the Mick. This is prime fillet of cod upsized and is smaller than any medium cod I’ve ever had in my life and way smaller than any of the fillets shown in the pictures here. This is shocking behaviour from a restaurant that I’ve loved up until this point. Times are tough but this type of gauging of customers is really upsetting
I just finished eating my fish and chips from this place and I think this place is very good.
The batter on the fish was light and crispy. The chips were lovely.
The guy serving me was a really helpful and nice fella.

My first time eating fish at chips at Streatham, I really recommend this place good attention and also the cod with chips was massive portion and so delicious, I will really come back again, 100 % recommend!!!!
