2 x cod and small chips. Got the food home, all stuck together like a soggy lump stuck to paper. Why don't these fish and chip takeaways use greaseproof paper. Cook the chips a bit more so they have a crisp bite to them (not over cooked), but a nice size of chip, not a soggy mess stuck to the soggy batter of the fish portion.
Looking at what we had, I would say just under £9 each for now a lot.
So it's a definite no no for us, very disappointed.
Well ordered fish chips and mushy pease but didn't want them wrapped together also ordered a chicken fillet burger that was put in with the chips so instructions that were wrote down got ignored ???? then of all things no mushy peas but a tray of battered mushrooms which got opened BY SOMEBODY THAT HAS SEVERE ALLERGY TO BATTER!! that person if they'd of even touched that batter would of needed an ambulance e en tho the hospital is 2 minutes away listen to your customers this was my 1st visit and won't be back
These have been the best so far since we got here. The oil they used was fresh and the food was so good. The staff were kind and helpful. I am glad my friends stopped there for fish and chips. It is a good idea to buy a bottle of ketchup for the chips. We did.
Traveling in Dorchester UK and we absolutely love the fish & chips from Case & Brewer. A very neat clean shop, friendly and quick service and the haddock and chips are just excellent. Wish we could take them back to Canada!
Have been using this chip shop in Dorchester for 30 years as it is the least worst! Chips always stick together in a big claggy lump.
Fish batter is quite greasy.
It's never been great, but has slowly got worse.
Will have to try Fordington or San Telmo again...
Ordered large battered sausage and when I got home had the smallest small battered sausage I’ve ever seen, charged me full price but didn’t give the food I paid for
One of the best fish and chips shops around and cheaper than any other.
Friendly people, excellent fish and chips. Very helpful and accommodating as one of us requires GF and they had no problems frying cod without batter, which turned out moist and very succulent. Definitely the place to go in Dorchester. Thanks to all.
