Family run and absolutely lovely. Just started with sandwiches via Just Eat but will now be popping in to try other stuff, as the quality is fabulous. Been here an age, because they are SO good.
We love Cartons and go there most weekends. The food is wonderful, the service is first class, and we cannot recommend it enough. My favourite is the tuna mayo and avocado sandwich, also eggs and chips. My son likes the chicken sandwiches. When you’re at Cartons you feel like you’re ‘home’.
Definitely not Autism friendly! Even with 5 other customers in it I found it overwhelmingly loud. It wasn't the customers on the annoying pop music so much as the staff who talked and laughed very, very loudly. So loudly that I could not even type a review so I have to do speech to text and correct the errors. I vacated in anxiety in 5-minutes as I could not cope.
I'm happy that staff talk and have a laugh but they really ought not be so loud. It really is so thoughtless. A cafe is for the customers not for staff to socialise loudly.
The pecan pie was more treacle than pecan. The pecans were bits rather than pecan halves.
I only went in because as I had 40 minutes to kill.
Shan't be going back!
Take ear plugs or listen to music on the headset if you go!
What a great find. Needed to meet a friend for a catchup, neither of us knew the area. Found this on Google and the lovely Polish lady could not have been more welcoming.. Would definitely revisit. Please get some Gluten Free cake :-)
Had been there multiple times with family, best cakes, coffee and food, extremely clean, staffs there are very friendly, and each time we enjoyed the food there, would love to visit again.
Amazing service, the staff are friendly and accommodating and the food is delicious! The coffee and hot chocolate is fabulous!!

No frills old-school styled cafe.
Traditional menu with little in the way of invention nor diversion from the script but that’s not necessarily a bad thing; the animated clientele here would possibly concur
The coffee holds it’s ground against local competition and very much cheaper.
Service friendly, efficient and the prices be comfortingly reasonable.
Little to fault here and much to admire.
