Delicious food in generous portions. An extremely comfortable and relaxing atmosphere. Ive visited many times over the last few months and the service and food is always consistently excellent.
We had a reservation and went for a special dinner. It was wonderful. We asked for vegetarian food and there were many tasty options.
A visit to Carmelas with two friends to celebrate a birthday. As they are from out of town I decided to bring them to one of my favourite restaurants in Horsham. Lovely decor and feel as usual only marred by exceptionally slow service - and it wasn't particularly busy. This was to my embaressment after I had told my friends how great the restaurant was. The food was good to the usual standard I expected. It was just a shame the sevice was VERY slow.
What a gem! Stumbled across this place on a Friday afternoon at around half past four. Setting - excellent. Service - excellent. Food - superb, authentic Sicilian. My wife is Italian and she was highly impressed, not much better praise can you get than that!
Gosh!!!!this place is great. Looks like a family run business and the food is mouth watering. They don't have a great selection of wine but good enough for the area. If you want to taste a truly Italian cuisine and no disappointment visit caramels. I am not for compliments, this time truly they well deserve it. Well done, visit again soon.
A restaurant of this quality is not easy to find. We all loved the atmosphere and friendly welcome. The menu was varied and my folded pizza was perfect. The other members of my party also enjoyed their meals and we all plan to return again. We found the added service charge was useful when sharing the bill although some customers could find it a little presumptuous. As it happened, we would have paid a little more for the service we received had it not been already added.
We would advise booking the table well in advance as this is not a very large restaurant.Free car parking after 8pm can be found at Piries Place, not far from the venue.
We believe the restaurant is recently under new management so reviews more than 12 months old would not apply.
Full 5 stars! They must only use the finest ingredients here because all our dishes were exceptionally mouth watering and flavoursome! Having been turned around from other main Street restaurants this establishment was an splendid find. The seafood and pizza dishes are incredible ????
I have been eating at Carmela's since I first moved to Horsham 8 yeara ago and have never had a bad meal. The food is always spot on and Rosella's service and warmth is second to none. I would recommend Carmela's to anyone who wants traditional Sicilian food in a convenient position.
