Service deserves a 6 star. Really great find, stumbled across it without reading any reviews but it was busy inside. Cake selection was great (we ordered rose cake, banana cake). Coffees were roasted in house which was exciting (can be purchased about £9/£10 for 250gm bag, whole bean or grounded if requested). Had a single unisex toilet. About £15 for 2 cake slices and 2 coffees. Offered a selection of savoury sandwiches too, bread looked amazing.
Found this gem of a coffee shop!! Definitely a much needed and nice addition to Lewes. Too many high branded coffee shops take over towns but this one was perfect. Nice drinks and cakes. Will become a regular when we visit Lewes for sure
We had such a lovely Saturday afternoon coffee and cake at Carafe. The staff are very friendly and smiley. The atmosphere is so relaxing- they had some great chilled jazz tunes on. The flat white and earl grey we had were both high quality and the bakewell we shared was so delicious. Good prices and plenty of space. Would definitely go back.
Had to stop here for toilet and lunch whilst exploring Lewes with my dog from Eastbourne by train. The cafe was so calming and safe. I was desperate to pee and I felt safe leaving my dog in the cafe while going in the toilet and the 2 staff were extremely friendly. Cheese pastrami toasty was delicious. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
After a week of some truly awful coffee in Northern France was a relief to find Carafe just a short drive from the ferry. Shoreditch surroundings, musically chilled vibe, with lovely friendly staff and a great robust roast coffee. We also had a couple of excellent (falafel and prosciutto) panninis. This is it.
Stumbled across this lovely coffee shop that’s down a side street near the railway station.Great choice of coffees, chai lattes frappes etc cakes and savouries. My coffee was lovely could really taste the coffee, service was good and lovely mellow jazz on in the background perfect!
Lovely cafe near Lewes station. Very chill vibes and music - really enjoyed the hot chocolate and staff were friendly and polite :)
Delicious coffee roasted in-house, excellent cakes, the friendliest staff and the most relaxing atmosphere with plenty of space & bossanova music. Dog friendly. I always come here for my coffee whenever in Lewes, highly recommend!
