Best coffee in Winchester. They do great lunch and cakes too. It’s more of a take out place but there are about 8 seats/stools inside, as well as a couple of tables outside.
If you want some nice little foodie gifts, they sell great sweet treats and coffee etc.

Pleasant coffee and snack shop on a picturesque part of the city. Pastel de nata is as good as in Funchal.
Weakest chai “latte” I’ve ever experienced in my life (sweetened hot water, and £3 for the privilege) but a nice spot in town to people-watch. I think I’ll note my mistake and order a coffee next time.

Best coffee and hot chocolate in Winchester. Part of a small chain that sources all their own ingredients. Lovely cakes, sandwiches and salads. You will pay a little more than the big chains but it's definitely worth it. Great service from Dahn (latte art maestro) and team. Not a lot of space to sit and eat but you can sit in the window bar and watch the world go by.
The coffee from Caracoli is just divine, and I treat myself to one on most visits to Winchester; it's a bit pricey when you compare it to Starbucks, Costa, or Caffe Nero, but the quality is just superb. If you are feeling peckish, there is always a huge selection of delicious cakes and treats.
One downside is the size of the shop, which means there is limited seating inside - a handful of bar stools down one side and across the window - and only a handful of tables outside (not good if it's cold or raining).
I've been slowly going round a trying all the flat whites in town. Caracoli is the latest place I've tried and so far it's number 1.
I've seen other reviews talk about the price, but I personally think it is fine for what you are getting. A great cup of coffee!
It is a small place and thus is difficult to get a seat. But if you can get a window seat, I can't think of a better place in Winchester to watch the world go by on a damp afternoon.
