I recently paid a visit to this place, which was one of my most recent visits among the many times I've been here before. However, I must say that I have noticed a considerable decline in the quality of both the food and the service at the restaurant since my first visit back in 2018. The flavors of the dishes just don't compare to how delicious they used to be five years ago. Additionally, the place appears to be deserted with most of the seats left empty. It's disheartening to see that people don't take proper care of the only occupied table in the entire restaurant. Furthermore, the air conditioning doesn't seem to be functioning, making the environment uncomfortable for patrons.
While I understand that the staff members are doing their best with the limited resources available to them, I believe the main issue lies with the negligence of the top management. For example, the fish nirvana dish I ordered was a far cry from the real deal. The quality of the fish served was subpar, and it was evident that something was amiss. As someone who was once a staunch advocate for this restaurant during its initial stages, I am disappointed to admit that I can no longer vouch for it.
In order to improve the situation, I have a few suggestions that I believe could make a significant difference. Firstly, the management should prioritize reevaluating the quality of the ingredients and the overall cooking process to ensure the food tastes as flavorful as it did in the past. They should also consider investing in proper maintenance and repair of the air conditioning system to provide a comfortable dining experience for customers. Additionally, the management needs to foster a culture of attentiveness and professionalism among the staff, emphasizing the importance of maintaining a clean and inviting atmosphere.
By addressing these issues and implementing necessary changes, I believe the restaurant can regain its former glory and regain the trust and loyalty of its customers. It is my hope that they will take these suggestions into serious consideration and work towards creating an enjoyable dining experience once again.
The worst service i have ever faced ..this is not the first time this is the 3rd time every time something or the other ..some times the order which we place from menu is not avaliable...this time we ordered butter naan and fish.They took almost half hour for fish and..after almost half and hour they r saying that butternaan is not ready.adjust with some other thing...what kind of service ...really dissapointed...
Great Taste Kerala Meal in this area, Delicious Fish curry & Payasam too good. All items i like very much... Thanks Calicut Live. Keep it up.
Worst service!!!
I ordered a lunch at 12.30PM and did not receive even after 2.5 hours. No accountability at all for the staff!! I am away from a kilometre only from this restaurant!! LOL!!
Wonder how these guys are getting licence to operate!!!

Note:There are other alternative restaurant for Kerala cuisine in Mahboula if you respect your time and money.

Tried their Kerala Meals and its just awesome costing only 1.5 kd. Meals are served along with 10 varieties of dishes including sambar, avial, kalan,thoran, fish curry,fish fry, omlette, payasam etc.

Yummy yummy food!!! Staff was very attentive and also assisted in making sure my child was safe as he wanted to walk around the restaurant. This was such a big help as it let's us enjoy our meal without stress. I'm sure every mother can relate to this.
