DO NOT buy a cake from here. They have the worst customer service ever. We placed an order for a 12” tower cake, the man who was taking the order for us told us it would be £54.99 we agreed and placed at £20 deposit.
The day before collecting the cake I received a call from this shop saying the cake we ordered was actually £85 and they told us we’d have to pay I spoke to the man and said it was a fault on their side as they’re the ones that got the price wrong. The man said he’d call back after five minutes and did saying if we want to pay £85 we can if not the price we agreed on will stay, so we said we’d pay the price on the receipt and left it at that. Half an hour later I recieved another call from this shop but I was a different man and he was VERY rude he told us the cake is £110 and we either pay the £110 or he’s going to cancel the order for the cake.
He was very rude and spoke aggressively, he also claimed to be one of the owners of this shop. When I asked for his name he didn’t want to tell me and kept pressuring me to pay a price which we did not agree on and was not on the receipt. Three different men claimed three different prices on the cake, what kind of business is this? And then we’re being forced to pay prices which we didn’t agree on because of their mistakes? We really needed the cake so we ended up paying £85 but the fact that they waited till the day before collecting to tell us about the price issue instead of telling us the day we ordered the cake which was four days ago, if they told us earlier we could have found other options in time for our function but they didn’t give us that chance either.
When collecting the cake you could tell they didn’t care about it they packaged the cake however which led it to smudging and denting on the sides. I don’t know what they did to the cake but there was some green liquid coming out the side of the cake and the cream was starting to crack. The sponge of the cake was so soggy and wet. Nobody ended up eating the cake and it was not even worth £85. I’ve never in my life had any issues with buying a cake like I did with this shop!
As i take my first bite, i'm immediately in a Symphony of chocolate flavours. The cake itself is intensely chocolatey. The ganache adds a luxurious creaminess, complimenting the cake perfectly without overwhelming it. Each mouthful is a delightful balance of sweetness, leaving a lingering satisfaction that only good chocolate can provide.

My parents brought mitai from this shop and this shop gave us out of date roshmalai packets!! Absolutely disgusting behaviour. The best before date label was relabeled as 4/5/24 but when we opened the packet it was completely off. If there was zero stars, i would give zero.
I would like to say a big thank you to Cake Talk, the cake that I’ve ordered was exactly the same to one that I showed and even better , plus the flavour that the gay suggested me with mango flavour was amazing.
I’m really happy and I will come back for sure.
Brought a milk cake from here today and the milk cake was out of date. The milk was off and you can tell by the rotten cherry on top it’s been kept in the fridge for a very long time. Disappointed could’ve got food poisoning
The Mishti is delightful for it is fresh and soft.
The shingara is tasty and very nice but too many green peas which imbalances the taste of an authentic shingara. Other than that I really do like the shingaras.
The cake is fresh and spongy, the ratio to cream to cake is not right, a bit too much cream.
There is no jam in the cake at all, one star deduction for that reason only.
Id recommend for the Mishti’s in particular
and I’ll only recommend cake if you don’t like jam and don’t mind more cream.
We bought a mango cake slice and the cake was disgusting. The sponge was hard and chewy, the cream was also solid. I think the cake was a few days old. Most of all the cake smelt
Avoid! The staff at this shop may scam you so be very careful. I asked the old gentleman for a 1kg box of MIXED indian sweets and he ended up giving me half the box with the unpopular ones. When I confronted him he denied it even though we can see the open box with one particular sweet. He then got another box and actually did a mixed selection but he still charged me for the first box.
In a nutshell AVOID if possible as there are alternatives on the same street with honest people working.
