If you're at marwell zoo and failed to pack a picnic it will tick that 'Im hungry box'.
The food they state is from local sources, reasonably priced (no deliberate captive audience pricing here!) And perfectly serviceable.
On busy days (half term) expect to queue for 20-45minutes.
....pie and chips wasn't half bad though!
This is a lovely restaurant in the Zoological gardens,it has a good menu of both hot meals and snacks to choose from,we had no trouble finding a table at the time we were there. The queue went down quite quickly so that was good for us.... Whilst we were in the Cafe we had a surprise visit from Mother Duck and her chicks, who were happily running through the legs of the customers, one of the staff had to usher all of them back out......????
Excellent quality and service.
Good choices for all tastes.
Lot of vegetarian options, good vegan choice too.
Staff lovely.
Pretty decent. Not too expensive. Kids meals are good value! Great spot in the middle of the park
Chips barely cooked through fish wasn't that fresh on account that it's sat under a heat lamp.
Mac & cheese almost tasteless is it made with cheese?
Understaffed slow service had to wipe our own table down.
Definitely not a restaurant by any stretch of the imagination.
Slop shop.
Menu was ok quite varied but not enough staff! Only 1 dishing up hot food but then have 2 go 2 other side 2 pay waited in long queue with my hot food goin cold for good 10-15 mins to pay and get cup of tea by time sat down food was barely warm and stone cold b4 finished! Needed 1 person on till another doing hot drinks also nobody clearing/cleaning tables or sweeping floor so tables dirty! Shame as staff were nice and if warm, food would've been ok prices what u expect for somewhere like that
Nice food and friendly staff, although food is quite expensive. There are lovely views out the back and sitting outside is good if you like ducks, there's normally a group wandering around the outside tables.
We have been members of this zoo for the past couple of years and because we live so close we come here on a weekly basis.
Hence my review is balanced when I say that each and every time we come to Cafe Graze tables are “reserved” by often single adults sitting at the table with no food or drinks whilst their friends, family are queueing up to order something to eat or drink.
In the meantime parents with little ones like myself are waiting and queuing up with their already purchased foods and drinks waiting for a table to become available. Whilst there is plenty of sitting at a table opportunities outside during the colder winter months it doesn’t seem fit to feed a toddler in the cold.
However I would feel extremely guilty just sitting there for up to 10+ minutes only to wait for someone else to eventually as it was today bring a cup of tea around!! This is borderline antisocial and whilst I appreciate the effort of a particular staff member to clean up a table for us which was occupied by people bringing their own food?! I still struggle to understand how this is all possible and tolerated.
Never mind, the zoo is lovely but the table situation I heard will hopefully improve with square tables which can be separated when the need arises.
No more table blocking please ????????
