Best KPortal Reviews
Best place to start your day with some real english breakfast and a tea or coffee. Kind service and good atmosphere, correct prices.
We just got back from a fantastic study holiday in London. We ended up with our accommodation in Leyton, near the Olympic Park on the Central line. We enjoyed this brilliant venue for 4 weeks and we are already missing Sonia and David and their excellent customer service. We tried the all menu and enjoyed all of it from the amazing Lavazza coffee blend that is hard to find even here in Italy, probably as it is one of the most expensive Lavazza blends, to the excellent wine selection.
We would strongly recommend to try the all menu as we loved everything from the traditional Portuguese and Italian cakes and ice creams to the tasty Brazilian “coxinhas” (savoury dough shaped into a drumstick with a creamy chicken salad filling).
How to forget our last dinner with the delicious charcuterie sharing boards, the rainbow “espetada” (skewers) and that fantastic wine, DV Catena Malbec.
Thank you very much Sonia & David for the fantastic hospitality!
10 out of 10 across the board... Perfect breakfast (all that for £6.95! ????)
Grab a sausage cheese and hashbrown muffin for £3.50 it hits the spot. Freshly squeezed orange juice? Yes please! Don't miss out on this great brunch spot ???? sorry no photos ate it too fast
Really loved the coxinhas and natas here. Authentic and tasty!
We heard a new Brazilian Portugese Cafe was opening in Leyton.
Elizeu Sonia and David are lovely warm friendly people.
The Coffee is excellent the food fresh and tasty.
The interior design is cool crisp contemporary, smart and comfortable.
Only a few minutes walk from Leyton tube.
Well worth a visit and a perfect place to grab a coffee.
Awful burnt coffee, didn’t know how to make a flat white. Shame
Terrible service.
I was the only person in this cafe, when I ordered only 1 Americano and it took the male server 20 minutes to present it to me!!!
Someone came in after me, ordered coffee and cakes and that person got her orders before my ONE item...I turned around and saw the male server had left my order behind the counter to go cold and only served it to me once the other customer's order had been filled.
I can only assume that server is new to the hospitality industry, shocking service.
This cafe has a feeling of not caring about the customer experience, it really showed and worse still as a customer I felt that.
As such I predict this cafe will close within a year from such lack lustre service, especially with one other cafe set to open soon and the flawless Palmeira Delicatessen to compete with....all of them within a 50 yard radius.
Excellent coffee and cakes served at Palmeira.
If anyone wants to see what efficient customer service and warm hospitality looks like, just walk 50 yards down the road to Palmeira.
It should go without saying I will not be returning to Cafe De Melo.
