The weather was stunning to day so off we went to Walkerburn on the bus from Peebles. Had a fantastic walk about this ex industrial village. Popped into Caberston Farm Cafe, we were amazing at how big it was inside it seems to go forever, so yip plenty of setting ????. We had tea ???? and the caramel cream cake ???? delicious and fresh. We sat outside in the farm courtyard along with the resident chickens ???? ???? they were very friendly. Staff welcoming, friendly, and helpful.
Such a friendly vibe,Lisa& co so welcoming. Hand made PIZZAS ???? at weekends especially ???? yummy. Even can often buy their hens eggs.Fresh as fresh
Back very soon.Gilly& David. Big Thanks.
Nice lunch today, panini really tasty, leek and potato soup however quite over ‘stocked’, too much stock cube, would have been better to have tasted the sweet leeks better. Nice cup of tea. Sat outside which was fine as it was a very pleasant day. The chairs could have been much cleaner but they were dry so not too much of a problem. Not sure we would have sat inside as it appeared to be really quite noisy and very hot. It is a fairly small space and would have felt a bit claustrophobic.
The farm need to do something about the safety of the outside, there was a manhole cover with one corner of it bent and protruding a way upwards, quite dangerous if didn’t see it, an easy trip hazard. The atmosphere outside was fine, quite a lot of dog barking activity and not that pleasant an environment, the potted planters really need an overhaul. If you like rustic farmyard it’s fine. I think we would return but when it is a nice day because we wouldn’t want to be sitting inside despite the issue on the outer.
Lovely cafe. Very clean and well organised to handle Coronavirus.
I hate lentil soup but theirs was outstandingly tasty. The Brie and cranberry Panini was also delicious. I therefore decided to also have a slice of chocolate cake and an Americano with an extra shot of expresso. Highly recommend this place.
Ordered a panini, lemon slice and flat white. Took 45mins+ to receive my panini. Ended up having to ask for my cake and flat white which I was told would come out. After 10mins I said I will just take a refund as it wasn't a problem, only to be told no and to wait. I eventually left without a refund, cake or coffee. It was as if I was an inconvenience. I felt like I should have apologised for spending my money in there. Poor.
Jodie and staff, thank you for the most delicious scones today for our large walking club. Staff were so helpful and gluten free/vegan scones were great.
Just found this lovely cafe and the food is fantastic. Fresh and tasty. Plenty to choose for vegans too. Definitely be coming again.
The food was absolutely delicious. Not a single fault. Thoroughly enjoyed my meal. Hats off to all the staff, they were so pleasant. ????
