We got a warm welcome on arrival from our host Sheena, we were shown to our rooms which were lovely & spotlessly clean. One room overlooked the Eileen Donan Castle which was lovely especially at night when lit up.||We had a comfortable sleep in very clean beds. The bathrooms were great with lovely towels.||On arrival next morning in the breakfast room we were greeted by Sheena's husband Paul. We found him very easy & nice to talk too, and also very smartly dressed to served the breakfast.( compared to some other B & B's)||Our breakfast was excellent, nicely cooked & presented & set us up for the day.||There was also a lovely lounge overlooking the Loch which we were able to sit & relax.||We would highly recommend staying here.||||Mike & Phyllis Stickle Vickie & Karen Stickle Norwich
If you want to be close to Eileen Donnan Castle and the Isle of Skye, consider staying here! We stayed for two nights last June, and had a wonderful time. The setting is gorgeous, and I found the owners very welcoming and friendly. The room was quiet and had everything we needed. The breakfast was good. I felt like this place is an excellent value, especially when you price out other hotels and b&b's in the area. ||I liked this place enough that I booked it again for another vacation.
Nice, clean and good sized rooms where Eilean Donan can be seen from the room. Good breakfast with premium juice and press coffee.||10 minutes walk to Dornie where the food at the pub were excellent. The walk across the bridge to Dornie provide good photo opportunities.||||The £1 fee for wifi was a contribution to charity, to which I have not problem accepting.|||| ||||Overall a good stay with no problems.
Absolutely smashing Bed and Breakfast! Text book - everything you could want. Stunning view of castle and lake from my huge bedroom window! Lovely couple so friendly and helpful. Comfy, homely, quiet, and breakfast spot in! Spotlessly clean, tea making facilities in room and internet worked fine too Highly recommend and would stay again!!
I have used this place twice touring Scotland on a motorcycle, this time with my wife as pillion. This not a boutique B&B but is very reasonably priced, spotlessly clean, has wifi, TV , en suite facilities and the breakfast is excellent. The couple that run it a very pleasant. A word of warning though that Ardelve has no evening meal facilities so you will need to walk over the bridge to Dornie to the pub or the hotel for an evening meal (about a mile). I wish I could say that the pub food is nice but it isn't, I think they know they are the only game in town. Our meal was basic , poorly cooked and we could see from other diners they felt the same. As there was a queue of people to eat, it didn't seem that the Pub was that bothered what it served. Shame because we had wonderful food earlier in the day on Skye at Café Sia - if you are biking, I would eat at Café Sia and leave the pub in Dornie to serving drinks
Booked in March for a late September nights stay and was warmly met on arrival, room was clean and tidy with great views of castle. Breakfast was perfect and the owner couldn't have been any nicer. Many Thanks
Very comfortable room with an outstanding view of Eilean Donan Castle. Evening meals available and drinks in Dornie village, a short walk away, with recommendation leaning towards the pub||Our hosts were very friendly, and most importantly, the breakfasts were outstanding.
Paul and Sheena run a very clean and comfortable bed and breakfast business which includes a very filling breakfast. Paul is front of house with Sheena doing all the behind the scenes work. Most of the rooms have a very good view of Eilean Donan Castle which is only a short walk away.
Stayed September 2012, travelled with family
