Not all hero’s wear capes. Whilst on holiday had an issue with my car. Chris fitted the repair into his busy schedule. Great garage, friendly, reasonably priced. Excellent customer service would highly recommend.
Lifesavers!
I was holidaying a few miles away with my partner and our dog when I found brake fluid leaking from our van. Having called out a rescue truck, we were left to call around garages to find one prepared to take a look at such short notice.
Not only did C L Smith Ltd do that for us but Chris managed to diagnose and repair the fault quickly and cheaply.
As our holiday involved sleeping in the van, we’d have been in a very difficult position if we couldn’t use it that same evening. These guys really dug us out of a hole, saved us the cost of a hotel and, possible taxi ride and also saved our holiday.

Chris is THE expert on Volvos having worked on them for decades. His team are also the nicest, easiest people to deal with.
If you need flash waiting rooms with free coffee and high prices go to a main agent (if you can find one and they can fit you in). If you want great, efficient service at a very reasonable price, come here.
Annual service as well as leak diagnostic. Chris & staff were really friendly and very informative. Kept me updated and informed at every step. Would recommend to anyone with a Volvo.
This garage is one of the best i have ever used. It has been my garage of choice for over 20yrs now. I use it, as i have driven volvos for that long, however they service and look after all types of cars. To emphasize the point, i took a removable towbar, that i was having an issue with, they took it apart, soaked it and cleaned it , they did not even charge,it worked so smoothly after that i was sorry to see it go when i sold the car.

Once again Chris and the team pull off miracles. I mamaged, thanks to Lancashire potholes, to buckle an alloy. I took it to Chris, he got the code and ordered it on Friday it arrived on Wednesday, he called me, 30 mins later it was fitted. After originally being told by the supplier it would take 8-10 days. Well done to all.
Chris and his team are really excellent - I recently had to have a significant piece of work done on my V40, and Chris managed to fit me in at short notice, figured out the problem and did a great job on the car. Professional, reliable and good value, would recommend to anyone. All the expertise of a franchised dealership without all the messing around (or the eye-watering prices). Even went the extra mile and dropped the car back at my house on a cold and wet Friday evening!
One fine sunny day on a typical trip to work I was going past the quarry entrance and caught a large rock on the road with my front nearside tyre which didn't survive the experience. I pulled over to the side of the road and got the gear out to put on the pretend one but try as I may I could not undo the locking wheel nut. I called Chris Smith Volvo and the man was there within 20 minutes. He had a super long tyre arm and managed to fit the pretend one inside of a few minutes. I followed him back to base and they had a replcement tyre delivered and fitted by 2:30 that afternoon. Need I say more, the business is excellent and they have been doing all our servicing and repairs to our car and van fleet ever since.
