Burnley general hospital is where you have to go for eye treatment & also for women having babies the labour ward is there too. Its quite a big building so you have to ask at reception to get to the right clinic for treatment. They have a nice restaurant there for meals & you can get tea & coffee & a cooked breakfast. Snack machines & coffee machines are also there in waiting rooms. Staff are always nice & helpful. You can get all your treatments here. Drs & nurses are good & give you the best care in outpatients appointments & if you be admitted to hospital for treatment too
Just want to say a huge thank you to Mrs. Ajit and the statf at the eye clinic. Mrs. Ajit was graciously able to get me in on the same day for surgery after learning how long I had the problem. Extremely friendly, knowledgeable and efficient. Thank you to Excel, Olivia and the other staff that were present during the surgery and post op. All acted with extreme professionalism by performing all the checks no matter how tedious and repetitive they seemed and at the same time behaving in a friendly and comforting manner. I have never felt more well looked after during a visit to the hospital. Thank you again, you are all a credit to the NHS.
This place is a joke to navigate around! Both myself & another parent were late & incredibly flustered when we got our children to their appointments at this place! Granted the staff are wonderful but if you can't actually find them, what's the point?! By the time I finally found the place I was on the ceiling I was that stressed out! Whoever designed this place wants stringing up!!!!
Brought my 93yr old mum for her replacement cateract. The appointment was 1230 she was taken in on time with care.
We were told to come back in 3 hrs. We picked her up at 345 when the staff rang us to say she was ready. Mum said that the care she received was so very kind. She mentioned an Indian young lady who she couldn’t remember her name but took special care of her. She gave mum a blanket and a pillow without being asked. It was wonderful to hear and as a family we thank you all for you care and attention to our precious mum.
Excellent timely and professional service at the Breast Care Clinic appointments in February and Gynaecology Day Unit. Monday 4th March . The surgeon Dr Anan has been outstanding in explaining as well as carrying out the procedure. The care at the clinic and day unit has been very supportive and of the highest standard. Thankyou !
Gynaecology unit is the worst staffing ever. The staff are nice to your face, and behind your back you can hear them bitching about you. How ethical is that? No matter what people have come into hospital for, whether is big or small, staff are supposed to help and support them. Not make patients feel like there are not wanted on the ward. There was another staff, (and these staff are mixture of nurses, managers, hca) that made her opinion very clear in front of patients of how gynaecology day units should be running. Making me feel so uncomfortable.
I was extremely ill, my family thought I should have stayed in. But the staff treated me awful, and in-front of me there treated the other patients lovely. I discharged myself and went home.
But I rather die at home, with my family, than these heinous nurses and Maneger that are laughing at your face and making you die mentally too.
People have no choice but to be treated, but report these people, or give bad reviews.
Visited eye clinic staff very friendly and helpful . Only issue was clinic up a lot of stairs and lift out of order.
I can understand why alot of people get upset and angry with the NHS. I came in yesterday for an x-ray for my parent who has a bent finger n we was recommended to get an x-ray by the doctor so we headed up late afternoon. Greeted by an receptionist with an attitude problem n told us to sit down. A couple of minutes in the receptionist started to behave bizzare he started rocking back and forth like a crazy person humming and talking to himself. We were called to the x-ray n there was no fracture but the nurse didn't even bother putting a splint or a bandage to try n straighten her finger all we was told was to take pain relief n that's it. I thought doctors and nurses were super to care for their patient's not just dismiss them. Some hospital system you run.
