I was new to the area and looked for proper food neae the hospital. It is a 7minute walk from the hospital :)
I chanced upon Buckinghams. It is along the road, has a big signage -- it is a clean fish and chip shop!
The staff/owner was very lovely and helped me pick my order. They were on it! I had the large cod cooked to perfection. Served with a wedge of lemon. Salt and vinegar on the side if you fancy.
They had seating outside where I enjoyed my meal. Sun shining, cool wind, awesome food, warm tummy, happy me.
The owner threw in a can of energy drink for me -- thank you for that sir, it really helped me! Cutlery included for my take away! I am a very satisfied customer!
They accept card payments. There is seating inside the shop and they kindly offered me to sit in but I was happy to bask under the sun outside.
You can park near and wait for your order and then pop back in your car and go. :)
Excellent new fish & chip takeaway. Had a beautifully fried Haddock and a standard portion of chips. Portions are huge and everything was cooked to perfection. Add on a sauce/side for just 45p. Highly recommended for take-out. I wouldn't know about delivery. I'd rather collect and then I know it's really fresh. I have a 5-minute drive, and the meal was still piping hot and the batter didn't stick to the chips!
Was very optimistic based on reviews but popped in tonight and get 1 cod and chips and spare portion for wife. Chips were undercooked and not fluffy, cod was nice but found 4 bones whilst eating.
Based on reviews and pics, maybe a one off but dissapointed.
Been here a number of times since they first opened in autumn 2023, always freshly cooked fish and chips. Fish has a light crisp batter and is a good size, chips are freshly cooked perfectly. Staff friendly and efficient. Prices are reasonable as well, large haddock and large chips, enough for two, £13.00 very reasonable.
Best fish and chips in Shoreham!
This fish & chip shop is outstanding on all levels. My wife and I had a warm welcome on arrival and were served very generous portions of quality food. The haddock I had was the largest piece of fish I've ever had.
The venue is clean & tidy, the staff are polite & friendly and the prices are very reasonable. Although the venue is local to us I would happily travel a further distance for such quality and will be recommending this fish & chip shop to family and friends.
Excellent fish and chips. Varied menu, pies, burgers, and special deals. Pleasant staff. Nice clean takeaway restaurant.
It's still very good. Open afternoons and evenings apart from Monday.

Hands down the Best fish and chips I have ever eaten????, the batter on the cod was thin, light and crispy covering a most beautiful piece of cod….. I don’t normally review things but your food is so worthy of a 5 star ???? review…. Please don’t change and I’ll be a regular, Joe & Jayne
Hi,we tried you for the firsr time last week and that was tops but thought it may have been a one off. Well it was not and we think we have found the jewel in the crown for fish and chip shops as all the & boxes ticked in the right places,the fish was thick and moist,the batter on the fish light,crispy and tasty unlike where we have found elsewhere before,very thick batter and a small portion of fish hidden underneath the batter and look at the size of their medium piece of Cod,huge and off the side of a large plate ,see picture,the chips perfect as well,crispy outside and fluffy inside and a small portion of chips is not in our opinion , small, mushy peas and curry sauce the same marks and tops and all fish skinless and boneless , value with quanity and quality.
You took a long while to open but the wait was worth it.
