Arrived minutes before closing, chancing that we may get served, but expecting to be turned away.
Thankfully we weren't, although the lady serving us seemed grumpy about last minute orders, even though other people arrived and were served after us. If we'd been turned away, we'd have accepted with good grace and gone to another takeaway instead.
The fish was delicious, with a thin and beautifully crispy batter. Some of the chips had caught and were borderline on burning.
By far my favourite fish and chip takeaway from the coast, always freshly cooked, staff are fab and friendly.

The service is rubbish. The woman behind the counter has no manners and was so impolite. Never will I go there again and give them my money. Gees you'd think they would cherish the local business they get but no it's like they don't care. So thanks again for the most awful manners and unprofessional experience I've ever had. And the thing is that I'm not the only one who has had the same experience.

Not had fish and chips for a very long time, years in fact but Broadlands fish and chips were lovely, shop exceptionally clean and staff very friendly.
