Very helpful owners and team. Made me feel at home straight away.
Beautiful park with idilic well kept river and moorings as well. So peaceful
If you like camping and don’t mind animals this is a place for you. You’ll find geese, ducks, chickens, dogs and cats and they all roam free and they all get on. I went for a 2 mile walk and one of the dogs came with me.
The Toilets and shower block need some attention apart from that it’s a nice place to stay
Site is great if you want a basic, party style camping trip. Everyone was really friendly, toilets were fine, didn't see showers as they are locked. For me and grandson it was too noisy with music, Nice area with I think some walking along the canal.
Only complaint really (apart from it being too noisy for me and grandson) is there was no hot water in dish washing sinks.
Beautiful place to visit in summer i was there i winter its was quite and no one was there but it's amazing place to relax
We got a friendly welcome upon arrival and shown to our pitch. The space and sense of freedom is lovely, there is lots of room for children to play relatively care free. Situated beside the river means that paddling, swimming kayaking etc is easily accessible. There are many bins that are emptied regular, they are displayed as recycling but I think they’re possibly all collected together and mixed anyway. There are lots of dogs roaming free, they aren’t any trouble but if you aren’t a dog fan then it could be a problem for you as they will pop onto your awnings etc. There is a cockerel and geese roaming and an aviary so there’s lots of animal noise (not complaining myself as I like to hear them all) but for some a cockerel disturbing you through the night may be a problem. There are some picnic tables around the site. The site itself in places looks like a bit of a scrap yard, there are vehicles and caravans that appear to have been put into retirement and forgotten about. The pot wash area is okay, I’ve definitely seen worse. The showers and toilets are pretty grim, they look like what you’d expect at a festival, they’re dirty and smelly and there are a lot of uneven sharp tiles so bring shower shoes! The level of friendliness here is however really good, no snobbery, everyone appears to go here for a good time, lots of chatter and music and laughter, it seems many people know each other here. If you want to let the kids have freedom, have a “party weekend”, where you’re not too bothered about a shower or where you “go” then defo come here.
Great little camp site with a river running thru it very layed back can party within reason .... free burning bins and plenty of wood on stock at £5 a sack overall a great pitch for a younger crowd
We've just come back from Brandy Wharfe. The MOST UNHELPFUL campsite, oh sorry l mean Leisure park, l've visited. Paid for an electric hook up, mmmmm what electric, it was on, then off, then on and then off, maybe 40 times this happened. Sunday morning breakfast guess what, no electric. DEFINITELY won't be returning. No toilet paper, hand soap or hand drying equipment in the toilet block. No hot water for pot washing. Just really very very poor. I don't expect 5 star for £25.00, but l think l expect what l pay for.
Decided to go back as needed a break and what a mistake it was just terrible still a scrap yard as it was two years ago just like hillbillies running around shouting at the dogs and each other one of there dogs attacked my dog and the others tried to so we had to keep her in .it's that dirty that my 7 year old asked if he could poo in a bucket rather than go in the toilets and there was no one else staying there so no excuse to be filthy and stinking .just a bad site all round avoid at all costs
