I am shocked at the lack of knowledge the people who work here seem to have. Today my husband called in to get a prescription that had been sent from the GP for our very poorly 6 year old. He was told they checked three times for the script and didn’t have it. My husband asked them to call the GP surgery to which they apparently tried and could not get through. I rang the GP medication line myself and got through to them in less than 5 minutes. The medication team informed me that the script was on the spine and could be pulled off from any pharmacy. My husband then returned to Bowerham pharmacy with the number for script given by GP to then be told it was out of stock and they would order the medication in. So a pharmacist will leave a very poorly 6 year old without medication?? Disgusting!!! When questioned if they could put it back on the spine they then tried to tell my husband other pharmacy’s in the area would not have it in stock either as they use the same supplier. Low and behold we got it for another pharmacy 10 minutes later from greaves pharmacy who were very helpful!!! Total lack of knowledge AVOID!!
Young girl very rude.
I collected a parcel from here today . I chatted with the girl who served me 'she was very helpful and showed me how to use the app needed for collection. The other young girl made a sarcarstic comment looking at me like I was stupid with a stinking attitude.
They were whispering and giggling as I walked out. Very unprofessional! I will not be back.
This has been my local pharmacy for over 20 years. It always used to be a pleasant and welcoming place. I visited this afternoon and there were 2 women in behind 2 different counters. , After being roundly ignored for several minutes , as if I was invisible, I left and went to the pharmacy on Greaves Road where I was received with friendly faces (and acknowledgement to prove that that I do exist) from the two women who work there.
Poor customer engagement Bowerham.
Was stuck on the motorway in traffic chaos, no chance of getting there before closing. The chemist very kindly agreed to drop off my tablets at home so that I didn't miss another dose.Thank you! Saved me a lot of hassle!
I had an emergency appointment at the doctors Monday and needed a prescription. I didn't want to travel far due to being unwell so had it sent to my local pharmacy. I'm now day 3 without my medication. Awful service and looks like it's run off students with no idea. won't be using them again!
I try not to write reviews when furious. This is going to have to be an exception.
I went into an understaffed pharmacy today because, having dropped off my measurements two weeks ago after earlier chasing-up of a prescription first ordered in June - JUNE - I expected the two week turnaround to be done.
I found someone manning the counter who didn't know the system and had to refer everything to the one pharmacist present. OK, fair enough. It's a Saturday. Short-staffing is a concern.
I am referred to the pharmacist. They think the measurements might be an an email. I tell them that I dropped off the measurements in person two weeks ago and that I just want to know if they have it or if I should call back on Tuesday. They ignore me and go to the computer. Another customer comes in; the pharmacist drops checking on my stuff to serve them. Then back to me. Then the phone rings. I respect that the pharmacist has to be the one who answers the phone. I wait.
Two other people come in and pick up prescriptions, which is fine, they could be processed by the other guy. Then someone else gets referred to the pharmacist after he gets off the phone.
The pharmacist serves HER first too. So that's two people, not including the phone call, that needed his attention and jumped my queue to get it.
The measurements are found. I am told they had been queried. I ask why this query did not come to me. I am told I was phoned. I have checked my phone record; I can absolutely guarantee you I was not phoned between dropping off my measurements and going in to resolve it.
I am told it's being faced through now, but they can't tell me how long it's going to take.
They will not be my pharmacy any more once I've finished this.
I would like to say Thankyou and the Good Proffesional service from The new member of staff he is excellent and gives a call to check and make sure we have our meds and more than happy to help.
In this crisis we are going through this chemist had in stock Paracetamol, Sanitizers found everything which we couldn't find for miles,Calpol for my kids also he even ordered some toilet paper in for my elderly parents, Highly Recommended always felt welcomed runs the chemist very well always smiling and cheerful an asset to the company.

Brilliant service, didn't have tablets late last night, promised to get them this morning and hand deliver them to my poorly elderly mum, promise forfilled. Thank you very much ????
