Carpark is good has fast EV charge points but parking is now only free for 2 hours
Small shopping and parking area within the centre of Daventry, very convenient for a bit of lunchtime shopping or cake & coffee. Added 3 EV charging bays recently.
New parking charge arrangements, 2 hours free then chargeable for up to 12 hours.
Sorry but it's 2 hours. maximum stay is ridiculous. I had an eyesight appointment at Boots. Once 2 hours passed, I still had not finished and had to rush out in order to move my car before getting a penalty. The other day I had an I interview in Costa with a guy who drove up from Brighton, he arrived an hour late and again I had to cut him short in order to move my car before a penalty. So Boots opticians lost a £600 sale, and I lost a potential job. Thanks, Bowen Square, 2 hours is not enough.
A small square with limited parking, but leads on to further shops and the high street. Still has a good variety of shops with few empty ones compared with other high streets.
Charity shops and coffee shops not much else
Main shopping place in Daventry. 'No fireworks', just enough shops to buy essentials. Good thing is that there is a couple of cafes.
Tiny parking is always full. It is better to use other car parks in town centre and take a walk there.
Free parking for 2 hours.
Good selection of shops and places
to eat.
So it is clean tidy and well maintained. If you want a range of coffee shops to compliment your day out visiting a range of charity shops you have found the ideal location,otherwise all a bit basic. Waitrose,boots, card shop and a couple of high street brands.
