My family and I stopped in for a late afternoon cup of tea and a pastry. The venue is small but clean and offers indoor and outdoor seating. Staff was courteous and prompt and prices are reasonable. Our coffee was delicious and our pot of Earl Grey was lovely. The pastries are delectable and there's a wide selection. Overall, a good choice for a savory break.
I went in here and witnessed the two female members of staff telling an elderly man they have no idea which bread is whole meal .
They said it’s not their job to know that them started giggling between themselves!
Absolutely disgusting behaviour I used to come here all the time but they have the worst staff now who wants to have coffee with people who are so rude!
Exceptionally rude service, chose the local bakery over the Gail’s just nearby to provide support to local business only to be served by a very rude lady who seemed completely put out by having a customer. Very bizarre. Shame as the pastries we bought were delicious but a smile and a “good morning” would go a long way. We’ll just go to Gail’s next time.
Finally got to try this place after passing many times and genuinely love it. Nata was superb and the coffee just as i want it! I'm not a fan of sugar on the table though... But i guess that's everywhere.
Beautiful charming decor, exquisite pastries and the coffee is decent too. My one downfall is the service is often not accurate or prompt. I don't think this is the fault of the staff as they seem very personable and suitable but lies more with the owners decision to usually only have one FOH employee working even at busy times.
Otherwise this would be the best joint in the village!
Warm welcome and pastries aplenty, would recommend the spinach and ricotta roll (eaten before I could remember to take a picture), the olive focaccia. Salted caramel and pecan brownie is a delicious chunk of happiness and I can't wait to finish the meringue (chocolate flavoured), nicely made too!
Staff were clueless. I was sat waiting for 15 minutes for a coffee which they forgot to make. Pastry was dry. Seating was cramped and the atmosphere was pretty stressful. It’s safe to say I won’t be returning.
Such a gorgeous little cafe in East London. Instantly felt like I was back in Paris with the decor, the coffee & pastries were delish (I had cinnamon swirl) and wifi worked great working there for the day!
