This place is full of well thought out design, Italian style, not the sort of thing you would expect from a holiday complex but from a high-end Airbnb. From the soft furnishings right down to the KFS, it's full of thoughtfulness, plus for those of you who drive EV's, there's free 7kWh charging type 2. Are we coming back? What do you think ???? Oh and did I mention that it's dog friendly with a very large fenced off exercised area. I'm not posting photos as there's already plenty.
Only arrived this afternoon but we're already impressed with the setting and indeed the barn itself. Absolutely everything you could need for a week away and all very luxurious!
We’ve just come back from the most amazing stay at The Granary. So much thought has gone into this place, it’s honestly unreal. On arrival we had a little welcome hamper which had some tasty Cornish treats in, also some treats for the dog in his little bowl.
The location is perfect - in a little village called Mawnan Smith but it’s that quiet it’s like being in the middle of nowhere! The village has a little local shop and a gorgeous coffee shop called AWNA which is definitely worth visiting. So many gorgeous beaches about 5/10 mins drive away too.
The barn itself was just absolutely stunning. We literally needed for nothing, the kitchen has everything you need, tea coffee, dishwasher tabs. Towels, dressing gowns etc are all provided. There was a hair dryer in the master bedroom too. Everywhere was spotless.
The only thing I would say is on arrival, there was SO many big bluebottle flies downstairs and upstairs too, I know it’s the time of year and with the weather but it took us so long when we first got there to try and get rid of them all. We couldn’t leave food or cups with straws etc uncovered. Maybe to be aware on cleaning for the next client to not have all the doors / windows open? I don’t know it just wasn’t very pleasant to have that many buzzing around you.
The garden is fully secure which was perfect for our little dog. Within the barns next door there is also an enclosed field where you can take your dogs and let them have a run which was fab.
The bathrooms were also amazing, the bath I’m just not over how gorgeous this bath was!! The hot tub was also a lovely touch, it was so big so plenty of room, the only thing I would say it was very dark at night, no lights around the tub area.
Overall we had a fantastic stay, we didn’t want to leave. We are already looking at booking again for next year ????
We have been blown away by the high standard of accommodation that Boskensoe Barns provided. We have just got home after renting all 5 of the different houses for a week, as we had an extended family holiday week in Cornwall. Everyone was happy & comfortable all week. Here are some of my highlights:
- The blackout curtains were actually blackout! For those who wake easily in the summer it was ideal.
- Comfortable beds.
- very well stocked kitchen.
- ideal spaces for socialising inside & outside.
- kids playground, great for little ones.
- attentive & responsive host who is quick to respond to queries or requests.
- built in music system which is easy to navigate (what would really elevate this would be a speaker in the bathrooms too, but that might just be me taking it a step too far).
- hot tubs. Lots of fun for the family.
We will certainly be recommending Boskensoe to all those we know who are passing through the Falmouth area.

We had the most amazing holiday in The Stable at Boskensoe Barns. So much thought has been put into these barns, our stay was truly incredible. ❤️ We arrived to a welcome bottle of prosecco to toast our familymoon, along with flowers and a tray of local Cornish goodies! Bridget also popped over to say hello which was lovely.
The accommodation is amazing, comfortable, with a luxury feel. We had brought all the usual holiday essentials but found we needed nothing, it was all provided, tea coffee sugar, washing up liquid, dish washer tablets, washing machine pods, everything!
We spent most of the summer evenings sat out front. Our little ones enjoyed the park on site and made friends with our lovely neighbours in the barn next door. They enjoyed looking at the cows in the next field and watching the tractor go by in the evening.
The location is perfect, it's so quiet you would think you were in the middle of nowhere, but it's just a short drive to the local beaches, Falmouth, gardens etc. The local village shop and pub are just a little walk away.
If I could give any suggestion for improvement, it would be to expand on the park area a little (some swings etc would be great), and a hot tub at each barn would be amazing!
We enjoyed our stay so much we are already looking at visiting again next year. It was our first visit to Cornwall, we have fallen in love with Falmouth and Boskensoe Barns! x
Such a beautiful home from home. The location is so peaceful. And as for the Barns...just wow! We stayed at The Pig House. 3 double bedrooms, 3 bathrooms 1 with bathtub and walk in showers in all 3, open plan living with modern fully fitted kitchen, outdoor covered hot tub and private garden with furniture, and a very cosy log burner. Off road secure parking too.
Bridget has been very helpful and a brief meet with Mark proved they are very inviting and attentive to our stay.
All in all, we loved our stay and will definitely come back..
Excellent rooms, anything you needed was at hand couldn't fault the accomodation, great base to visit beaches and surrounding places, 8 minutes from village and pub , 5 star rating from me.
