Absolutely stunning worth the effort. Sadly our best friend who loved the area and loved that view sadly passed on January 3rd 2024. The photo is a tribute to our friendship and lovely memories. Loch Fyne whisky for a fine loon. One of Scotland s finest sons. RIP Mucker
A lovely walk ending with stunning views over Kenmore and loch Tay. We chose the blue route which took approximately 1.75 hours. Dog owners beware though, we removed over 30 ticks from our dog so if you are taking your four legged friend make sure he/she is fully inoculated
against the wee pests.
Fantastic view over Kenmore and Loch Tay!
Easy parking available and there are well marked routes which take you up to Black Rock Viewpoint. It's mostly access road which is blocked to vehicles.
First climb could be struggle if not used to it but the view from the top is well worth it.
Really nice walk in the sunshine up to the viewpoint, the view is well worth the walk up. Very good footpath all the way round and you can see lots of wildlife!
I've walked up a few times in the past. We were staying at the mains of Taymouth. An pretty easy walk up. In the past I had carried my daughter in a backpack, but it would not really be suitable for a buggy, unless proper off road version. A nice spot to just relax and take in the world below you.
Lovely walk though the forest trail. Spectacular view!!! Highly recommended
Beautiful location...well worth the walk.... cracking view across Kenmore and Loch Tay
Great hike up Drummond Hill, and stunning view across Loch Tay to Kenmore, from Black Rock Viewpoint
