Great wide expanse of the beach, very dog friendly all year round on the southern end. There is still enough space to walk at hightide. There are plenty of rock pools to explore for kids and adults. Parking currently £3 up to 2 hours and £5 all day - and with the all dayer you can leave and then return for a dog walk later on.
Basically a paid for parking near the beach, and why not. Was reasonably priced even though we just wanted a quick walk, would be more economical to spend the day for 7 quid. 3 hours for 3 quid was fine though.
Had ample parking, right on the beach, ice cream vendors and other trades there like surf hire and teas, looked like a restaurant too, that we didn't go in.
The rock itself is pretty cool, fun to climb on, lots of rock pools. Sand is kinda pink colour, people seemed to be making pretty good sandcastles there.
Ton of people but seemed to be plenty of room.
Easy access to the beach from the car park down steps, not particularly wheelchair friendly but further along looks like a ramp from other Widemouth carpark. Not sure if summertime has increase to parking charges but only stopped for an hour to walk the dogs and paid £1. Narrow exit so definitely no large campers or caravans through the marked exit route, possibly if in a pickle to exit via entrance but who would bring a caravan into this carpark without checking first?
Gorgeous beach. £5 to park all day with a cafe/bar and ice cream kiosks on site.
A stunning beach with incredible rock formations, a truly beautiful place to visit. This beach is also dog friendly all year round although at high tide there isn't a huge amount of beach accessible. Do also be careful of getting cut off by the tide if you try to walk between the beaches.
Black Rock was a beautiful beach. Lots of rock pools but also lots of sand. Great beach especially for dogs. Paid £7 for all day parking and the site had a cafe and coffee hut next to the car park. Toilets were available too.
Black Rock is a Beautiful Clean and mostly Sandy Beach, with Life guards. Entrance and carpark are privately owned, and during the School holidays are charging £5-00 per day, off season £3-00 for two hours, £5-00 per day. Nice Cafe and Beach shops, with additional 'Container' Shops closer to the beach for Ice Cream, Hot Beverages, and sale or hire of virtually anything you would need for the beach. Also a Dog friendly beach. Have been visiting for years! Will visit again, although it's a shame that on the final day of your holiday, when you might want to spend a last half hour or so here, they still want £5-00.
Parked our motorhome here and spent the day just watching the world go by. £5 for all day parking and you can come and go as you please. Coffee available and soft drinks and they had chairs and windbreaks and other seaside stuff available. Perfect spot.
