Nice easy going pub great selection of beers and always have the sports available to watch . Great for karaoke on the weekends . Dog friendly . Also got a South facing beer garden . Not tried the food yet but the menu looks good and from what I saw everyone was enjoying the food.
Scampi ok, frozen crinkle chips not expected, Pie was cold so sent back, whole plate was shoved in microwave so a soggy pie and chips was returned. Not worth complaining a 2nd time. Only one other couple in pub so no atmosphere at all. 1st visit and last. Food is cheap but still expect a reasonable quality.

Now serving food! New management has brought this pub back to life at last! I had salt and pepper chicken sizzler (set smoke alarm off lol) which was delicious! Only thing I wasn't keen on was oven chips(which keeps the prices down but I would pay more for home cooked chips or skin in fries.) Usual pub type menu most dishes a bargain at £7.95. I like real ales and they had 3 on tap(Wainwright's, Doombar and Black sheep.) I had black sheep and it was a decent pint and just over £3 a pint. I would definitely now recommend this place, the staff are extremely friendly and welcoming and the atmosphere has definitely improved, also becoming more popular again. Will definitely be going again!
The Black Bull serves very nice pub food and VERY reasonably priced. I had home made cheese and onion pie, chips and mushy peas @ £7.95. My husband had gam and cheese panini, chips and salad @ £6.95. Would recommend.
Fantastic pint and the pub is spotless, credit to the manager who cleans the pub himself. Good luck.
Absolutely Amazing David the landlord is one of a kind nothing is to much trouble bar staff are so lovely highly recommend this place Food is to die for Atmosphere is outstanding one of the best pubs around ???? ????
