Joke food was cold. Then said on the phone they was running out of food and didn't want us to wait any longer for our currys so just sent us out half portions! -5 joke of a restraunt
WELL WHAT AN UNFORGETTABLE DINING EXPERIENCE!!! After an evening out around the bars of Sellyoak we thought a curry would just finish our night off nicely. Just our luck we came across this establishment . It was quite late and we were unsure whether we would still be in time to be served, but ‘unlucky’ for us we were and ‘unfortunately’ it WAS still open. We went in and was eventually greeted by a man in a Woolley hat and coat who told us we could sit wherever we liked mainly because the place was deserted. The decoration and ambiance of the place was pretty close to Delboy and Rodney’s flat in Nelson Madella place. Once seated we was offered the menu and ordered some drinks but the only thing in stock was tap water and we was told we could purchase our drinks at the off licence three doors away. The one and only person who was working in there who was acting as waiter, chef and maitre d proceeded to deliver us an array of poppadoms and sundries (the poppadoms had obviously been cooked hours earlier and were stale and like eating an empty cornflakes box and the sundries were unrecognisable and not fit for human consumption (obviously the left overs from the previous customer who had consumed them because the receipt of their meal was still stuck to the underneath of the dishes). After pondering for several minutes and hoping the next course would improve slightly we settled on a chicken curry, chilli paneer, chips and naan bread. After a good 30mins and lots of banging around in the kitchen, the trolley was wheeled out, we was told unfortunately the chef couldn’t find the paneer and had made us two complementary vegetarian dishes instead, this looked like half a roast potato from last Sundays roast dinner and a piece of unrecognisable meat in some watery juice; this was slapped on the plate along with some illuminous toxic yellow substance (the waiter seemed really pleased with himself like he’d done us a huge favour). Then the chicken curry followed which can only can be described as a watered down tin of pedigree chum finished off with man handled, mauled naan bread which also looked like it had been left over from the previous customers (from about a week ago!!! ). We complained immediately and said we would in no circumstances be touching any of this food as we valued our lives too much and severe gastroenteritis and food poisoning wasn’t how we wanted to finish our evening. We refused to pay and thankfully managed to “get out of there” without having to partake in any Sherratton bushtucker trials!! I really don’t know how this vicinity is still legally allowed to operate and the only benefit it has is its so close to the QE hospital - (so not too far to get treatment after you’ve eaten there!!!) Please AVOID this place at ALL costs the only customer it needs is an environmental health inspector TO CLOSE IT DOWN!!
Absolutely incredible place. Me and my friends have dined here numerous times and always get the best service from Jay. He is incredibly welcoming and the food is always delicious. Would thoroughly recommend. Up the Sherrabosh!
Very Awful Place and Very Dodgy and Disappointing Experience that I've never Experienced ever from Ordering Food! READ THE REVIEWS!!!! AND SAVE YOURSELF A LOT OF HASSLE AND TIMEWASTE NOT TO MENTION MONEY TOO!!!! This is a Very Shady Place. They take your order and MONEY but never Deliver the Goods! And when you call them they give you very Bad Abuse and say it's their old machine that takes the Orders and MONEY and they can't do nothing about it and have to call the machine company to get your refund!!!! Then the restaurant guy Calls ME back from his personal Phone number at 4-5am Many times and Bombards you if I still wanted to Order Food, which I will have to PAY HIM CASH IN HAND FOR (EVEN THOUGH IM OUT OF POCKET AFTER ORDERING FROM THEM ONLINE) Although it's late and I haven't Eaten all day, after reading a few Reviews about the Luke Warm and Inedible Food I Declined! I didn't want some Old Curry Microwaved thrown together and delivered to me NO THANKS!!! DO NOT ORDER FROM HERE YOU WILL NOT GET YOUR FOOD OR MONEY BACK OR PROBABLY SOME OLD MICROWAVED DISGUSTING FOOD!
DO NOT EVEN GO NEAR THIS PLACE. THIS PLACE DOESN’T EVEN DESERVE 0 STAR RATING. WENT FOR A DINNER WITH MY SON RECENTLY IN AUG 2023. THEERE WAS A MAN WHO SERVED US SAYING THAT THE CHEF HAS GONE HOME. FOOD WAS ALMOST RUBBISH AND NO WHERE NEAR AN INDIAN DISH.
I GOT A SEVERE DIARRHEA NEXT DAY. SPOKE TO THE SAME GUY WHO SERVED US AND HE TOLD ME THAT HE WOULD SPEAK TO HIS THE OWNER AND COME BACK TO ME BUT I DIDN’T HEAR ANYTHING YET.
VERY BAD PLACE. BETTER SPEND MONEY SOMEWHERE ELSE.
HORRIBLE SERVICE I ordered last night off deliveroo they didn’t deliver my order was waiting hours. When I called up asking them to respond to deliveroo’s email so I can receive my refund I was spoken by someone at the restaurant in an aggressive manner extremely hostile. This was very unusual I would never expect this from a local restaurant to be honest im not surprised judging by the previous preview I hope this place is closed down we don’t need places like this in our community absolutely disgusting
DO NOT ORDER from here. If you order via Just Eat/Deliveroo, they'll call and ask you to cancel it as "they're not paying them" which I can only assume is because everyone sends the food back. 3 hours we waited, multiple phone calls, and when it turned up the portions were pitiful and food stone cold. I'm not entirely convinced it's even a real restaurant and not just some muppet in his kitchen at home scamming everyone
