Simply put.. Birch Mews and Randy cannot be trusted.
He will tell you he has completed the work required on your car when in fact all he has done is reset the warning lights which come on as soon as you have driven away. This is a dangerous practice and surely will lead to someone having an accident.
We purchased a car from a local dealer and they use Birch Mews as their Warranty work garage. The dealer had been brilliant informing us they had contacted Randy and told him to get the work completed as the issue was present on the day we collected the car. We have taken our car to Birch Mews for a total of six days over two separate periods and on both of these occasions they have failed to do a simple filter clean. Randy will continue to exclaim how busy he is however looking at the rundown back street garage with cars that all look like insurance jobs outside I’m surprised.
Randy can be patronising to female clients and often attempts to lie his way out of a situation when he is caught out. He tried to claim that the work that was required was not covered under warranty despite the dealer saying it was.. perhaps so he could charge the dealer and us for the work for double profit?
I’d strongly advise anyone looking at getting any work done to their car to visit a reputable garage who will complete the work rather than mess you around and attempt to con you that they have done the work when they have not. All I can say is I feel lucky the work we were getting done was warranty work rather than being a poor customer who has paid for work when it most likely has not been done and you’ve spent a lot of money to get the warning lights reset.
Took my black citron in to have my flexi pipe replaced for a mot. Randy I believe was the man's name I spoke to. He was very honest and helpful. The quote was much cheaper than I was quoted before at another garage. The car passed the mot. I can't thank you enough. Best garage by far!
If you're looking for an honest, friendly garage to look after your car then this place is for you. You won't get the main dealer frills but you won't get their prices either. What you will get is their years of experience, good service, repairs and MOT. I've been there many times over the years and will continue to do so.
I love Randy Robert and Martin, nothing is too much trouble allowing for them to be very busy they help me keep my 13 year old Skoda on the road without me feeling cheated or overcharged. They do it all with hard work, humour and friendliness. I would recommend them anytime to anyone and I wouldn't ever go elsewhere

Have been ripped off by so many mechanics over so many cars - Birch Mews are the most honest I have ever met. Had other mechanics advise me hundreds of pounds of work needs doing, to be told by Birch mews that a simple water tank cap needs replacing! Used these guys for years and will continue to use again and again - most highly recommended.
Friendly garage, nice people, don't rip you off and they do a great job every time.
Have used this garage for years now, always pleased with the work and the price. They are always busy that tells you a lot.Moving out of the area now and hoping I can find similar. ????
