Nice fresh samosa vegetables banging good with their own chilli sauce treat from my big sister I am impressed can't fault samosa make change definitely try them again on my off days
Disappointing, bought 1kg of veggie pakora which are normally very good. They were just made with mainly flour, I understand they are really busy due to Ramadan but no excuse. Plus. Mint sauce was over loaded with salt, Won’t be going back
Really nice meat and vegetable samosas. Chicken pakoras were dry for me but the family enjoyed them. Shami kebabs were nice too.
Watch out for the queue jumpers especially in Ramadan. The men over 60s will go to the counter opening part. Start talking to the servers and then put a order in saying ' their son is waiting in the car' like hello are we all just standing here for Fun.... and in Ramadan as well.
Visited on a day out from Wales and brought some items home.
Shaami kebabs were really nice, great texture and taste. Namak Paras, wow, easily one of the best I've every had! Kheer was brilliant too ????????.Great place with great variety of freshly a d continually made food, good prices and great , friendly customer service. Looking forward to next visit so keep up with good work and see you again soon Bilal Sweets.
Desi breakfast - Bilal sweets
I was yearning a desi breakfast and having exhausted the majority of Birmingham I decided to make my way to Bilal sweets on Alum Rock Road.
I was greeted with a friendly smile and the service was super quick. I was out within 4 minutes despite at least 8 other customers present.
I was overly impressed by the low price of the breakfast and quickly made my way back to my car (by the way, parking is extremely difficult here). I drove like a man possessed as the aroma of the breakfast in my car was driving me mad! I just could not wait to try it out!
This place did not disappoint me the least. In fact, this breakfast was one of the best desi breakfasts I have had in Birmingham, period.
The chana (chick peas curry) was in one word: sensational. The spices, the salt level, the lack of oil and the perfectly cooked chana was truly stupendous. 9.8/10.
The halwa was equally as good. Again I was impressed by the lack of grease. The taste was amazing, not too sweet and not too bland - just spot on. The only negative I would say was that they could include sultanas and coconut (as is the case with conventional halwa). 8.5/10.
The puri's were fluffy, thin and absolutely colossal. Unfortunately they were overly greasy but it is impossible to get a puri without grease. The taste made up for all this and quite frankly I was more than satisfied! 8/10.
The combination of puri with chana was just mouthwatering and truly satisfying. The halwa too was enjoyable with the puri but in all honesty I ate 90% of the halwa with a teaspoon.
Lastly, this meal is a massive portion and 2 adults can easily share 1 meal!
Thefoodsheikh says: I highly highly recommend this establishment if you are after a proper traditional Pakistani breakfast!

Ordered £100 worth of Mithai, Could see some of the gulab jaman were visibly dry so with the last few being left I asked to wait for a fresh batch which he said 5/10 mins and I was fine with that. Another employee then takes the dry ones off display to the kitchen and shows up with my box which I was assuming where the fresh ones as I could only go off there looks. Turns out after tasting them they had dipped the dry display ones in syrup and took advantage of the fact it was Ramadan and I couldn’t taste it.
Guess where I have been again. Been taken by Jay there yrs ago. Haven't counted how many times I've been since. The food is fresh. Sweets are top. I don't go anywhere else. I may not be able to pronounce everything I have bought but there are extra special there. Cheers guys.
