This is a superb, welcoming local café selling really tasty, reasonably priced food with a good variety. There are roasts to be had on a Sunday and includes a vegetarian option - today was a feta cheese nut roast. We like the nostalgia of a fish finger sandwich, but the selection is fab. They do everything from breakfasts to curries to soups and toasties - the menu has both vegetarian and vegan options. Today, I had a Thai butternut squash soup with a mushroom and Stilton sandwich on granary for £8. There are specials and I like the homely kitchen feel about it. There is outside seating under the cover of a marquee, which is lovely in the summer. I can recommend the jugs of non- alcoholic punch, including a lovely fizzy pink dragonfruit one- but they are all lovely. The staff are great, very friendly and attentive. I would throughly recommend it for anyone looking for a homely, unpretentious, friendly eating experience with a tasty variety of affordable meals. I also like that the tables for 2 are a good size. There is take away - including the roasts, and accessibility is good ????.
Great little family-run business with home-cooked everything and excellent ground coffee. In the shadow of a ruined castle but sadly you can't see it from the cafe.

Came across this cafe whilst visiting Bungay. Small but perfectly formed and a true delight. Social distancing and H&S in place & observed according to Covid regulations. The staff were lovely and friendly and made us feel welcome. A great choice of food on menu. The mushroom & Stilton pie was A MAZE ING, the Stilton was just right and didn't overpower the pie. On a gloomy cold day you need to try a golden latte, you won't regret it. The cafe is dog friendly as they have undercover outside space. We shall definitely be back to enjoy more of the homemade cake.

Nicely laid out, friendly people, clean and the food was super. Went in for breakfast and now we are skipping lunch. Very tasty indeed. Thank-you all.
Looking for some where with outside seating and dog friendly we found this place down an alley from the busy high street right near the castle. It's a hidden gem. Outside seating with under cover area away from the busy road. I had coffee and the mushroom and stilton toastie hubby had fruit scone with jam and cream. Both were delicious.
Friendly staff made us feel welcome and very dog friendly which is a bonus.
Now we found this place we will definitely use again.
Cycled to Bungay from oulton broad as a personal achievement and found this lovely little cafe hiding in an alleyway. Outdoor sitting is available under a marquee. Table service with very friendly staff. I had the loaded chips with bacon, cheddar and bbq sauce, very filling. Would definitely visit again when in Bungay next.
I had a lovely squash soup which came with a toasted sandwich of your choice and my wife had a cheese scone with a lovely chutney. Great and friendly staff and Great value for money will go back when we next visit .❤????
