Got a table straight away. "Outside" was a lovely day. Cleanliness spot on.
Service was fast, productive, and friendly. Couldn't fault it.
We got the ham & cheese panini which was quite nice but I was dissapointed with the breakfast (please refer to the pictures) I asked for the biggest breakfast they had and unfortunately it didn't come with much choice on it. In comparison to other places, the sausages weren't the best. I would only recommend this place for lunch, not breakfast. It's still a lovely cafe, though that does a really nice Latte.
Atrociously run down, I don’t mind supporting small family run businesses that actually have something to offer however the poor service that comes with it was even worse, I was served one hard egg on 2 door stopper size teacakes with what looked like stork margarine. Not provided a menu, nor condiments, worst “yorkshire” tea I've ever been served. If you’re wanting nice, you could make better at home for cheaper. Convenience is the only way I think this place is running.
Called in at the weekend - needed a sandwich for my walk... service excellent - the cooked breakfasts looked fab... anyway, I was provided with a "superb" ham, cheese and pickle sandwich... one of the best I have ever had... thanks !!
Great cafe with warm service. Plenty of options with good prices, cafe has a great nostalgic feeling, the type you can imagine your grandparents going to back in the day.
Can the young blonde girl serving at the till please learn some customer service skills? She was abrupt and very unfriendly. This place could be lovely if they moved away for the run down cafe vibes and modernised it.
Always a pleasure to visit this lovely cafe straight opposite from Newmiller Dam lake. Numerous red hot cups of tea, delicious toasties and pie and peas, flapjacks and other sweet treats, lovely pitstop on a walk
Been the other month then called in again for a Cuppa Tea and a lovely Slice of Parkin. Very nice café and the service was great ????????????
Called in again 7.7.22 great place..
Back again 22.4.23...
????♂️????????..
Very poor quality with prices higher than they should be. £4.10 for a BLT which was on a tiny, cheap white bread roll (no choice given).
The lettuce and tomato were the bits most people discard and the bacon was reheated and dried out.
The tea was just a mug with a teabag......plastic spoons from a grubby cup on the counter and a communal sugar bowl.....so unhygienic!
For a fraction more money the cafe round the corner is far far better value for money with cleanliness and good service.
