Each time I have been in this baker, the lady serving picks up the unwrapped roll, cake, or sandwich with her bare hands. Then carries on taking cash from people. No use of napkins or tongs, this is so unhygienic and must be against the basic hygiene rules you should have in place when serving food. Avoid this place unless you want to share the germs of half the population in Wimborne. It’s like Covid never happened!!
Big fan of sour dough and I bought a small loaf from the shop, it was incredible! Nothing better than a toasted sourdough with a skim of butter. Pastries are good too
Absolutely amazing customer service, would recommend. Food is excellent. And their hot cross buns are especially good!
Working in Wimborne I use Bennetts at least once every few weeks. Great selection of cakes, bread, rolls and sandwiches. Normally I request an egg mayo roll that is made freshly in front on me. Very kind service with a smile,
I went here for something to eat. They have cakes in the window which I had a look at from outside and the old lady behind the counter asked if she could help. They seem to have a selection of pasties, sausage rolls and pre-filled rolls in a cabinet, but it's really difficult to decide what to have or even to see what they are selling with an old lady impatiently staring at you, so I left. The old lady laughed at me.
The customer care in this place does not even warrant a 1 star. On more than one visit a member of staff has been rude and disordinate to my wife and I. She is nasty with her tone and it is not welcoming when you are the customer buying. Absolutely disappointing, especially at this time. If you don't enjoy providing pleasant customer service, retire!!! I will not be visiting again as there is a better bakery round in Mill Lane who treat you with respect. I will also be putting this in writing to the branch and Bennett Bakery HQ

But the lady working was unwelcoming and barely acknowledged me, it’s not the first time either! And clearly wasn’t listening.
I asked for a rocky road and then added a sausage roll.
The sausage roll I ate straight away was ice cold, they’re usually atleast warm. And I put the rocky road under the pushchair.
Got home and found out the “rocky road” was actually a Millionaires shortbread! (Good job I love a millionaires sb) but was a little gutted.
Wimborne Bennetts only being down the road from me since I’ve moved but I think I’ll have to go to Broadstones branch for my snacks.
The best chocolate cake I have eaten for a long time!!
