This was a great experience, really good atmosphere and grounds. Loved the chilli eating competition, the host kept it entertaining throughout. A great variety of food trucks to choose from along with hundreds of chilli sauces and products to sample. Be careful to read the signs as I quite literally got burnt by an extremely hot sauce which took about 45 minutes to recover from. Brilliant day out if you like spice.
The chilli festival itself is excellent with such a variety of chillis and chilli related products (unsurprisingly!), but there's much more than this at the venue - the grounds themselves are quite lovely and well worth a visit during the non-chilli-festival times that they open to the public

it was our 4th year to visit and it's fun every time a beautiful setup, lovely atmosphere, and an entertaining chillu competition, which is always the highlight of the day
Nice but could be so much better. Nearly all the stalls sell similar type of products- hot sauces, chutneys etc.
There could be so much more. Chilli related clothing ( my son was wearing his ????️ t shirt. Chilli beers, chocolate, pickles and definitely snacks. Where are the pork scratchings, crisps, popcorn etc?
Please organisers, you need to broaden the range otherwise it is just "same old" every year.

The chilli festival wasn't on, thankfully, as it was a pleasure to walk around this beautiful place looking at the snowdrops with just a few other people around.
Beautiful gardens. Lovely family day out at the chilli festival. We go every year. Great stalls for tasting and buying. Take a picnic and sit by the pond listening to great music. Couldnt ask for a better day.
Great chili festival topped off by chill eating contest at the end of each day. Good selection of hot sauces and spices from the stalls
